aoe, PSIA certifications only have specializations for disipline (nordic/alpine/adaptive), at least in my division (PSIA-E). For Adaptive level II and above you need some specialization because of the breadth of adaptive programs. And Bangor, as far as I knew at 16 you could get level 1, but not higher until 18. I know PSIA-E also has programs now for people under 16 who are interested in becoming ski instructors (I think its called ''15 below'' or something). But I will admit, if you are not serious about teaching PSIA is not the right route, it does cost money, and if you do not feel that your money will not be werll spent, then don't spend it. I know plenty of top notch instructors that have either given up PSIA or never joined. Me personally, I joined because I wanted to attain something that could carry a certain appreciation where every I might go.
