PSAT's today.

form W just means that the test was on Wednesday. I don't even know why I took the PSAT this year-I've already taken the SAT. but I think I have a shot at being a nms semi-finalist cause my last pretest was pretty close and i felt pretty confident on wednesday.

what sucks is that i'm good at the writing/grammar, but they don't really count that.

did anyone else find the math suspiciously easy, esp. section 2? like the question asking to count the points above the line of best fit?
 
We had ours yesterday.

The material wasnt too tough, but the fact that it is timed really sucked. I didnt get to fully finish like 2 or 3 of the sections.
 
Unless you're scoring consistent 70's on a given section, you should intentionally leave a few hard questions blank and concentrate on checking your earlier work for stupid errors. It pays off more.
 
My friend got in the 98th percentile last year, so they asked him to take it again. If he gets the same mark he gets some mad scholarship

Yeah, took them on Wednesday. My timing was off. The annoying proctor said pencils down and I still had 3 questions left. Good thing they don't really count

 
took them last year and my timing was all messed up, still ended up with an 185 which is a 1850/2400 if you want to think of it like the SAT. But I have to take them tomorrow (saturday) at 7 45 in the morning so fuck you guys that took them in school and than left afterwords.

I haven't done much SAT prep, my goal is above a 2000, lets see what happens.
 
I was hella stressed out when i took it... i got 209 last year as a sophomore, and our counselor said that that'd be good enough to be a semifinalist, but apparently in washington the cut-off's like 217... i want those fucking scholarships.
 
Last year I got in the 95th percentile in math, and the 92nd in reading.

But the fucking 67th and writing, what the fuck is that.

I was a sophomore at the time, and will be taking them again tomorrow at 745 since I'm a junior now.
 
well i'm gonna hop in bed now, jack off, and try to fall asleep so i can go to fucking psat's at 7 am tomorrow. anyone got any more good tips for falling asleep at an unbelievably early hour?
 
Fuck saturday testing, I have to leave for XC Center states in half an hour and I just got done with the test. I annihilated that math section though.
 
Just took mine. Here's how I'm gonna describe how good I did on them. I pretty much just bent the PSAT's over and stuck it in their ass, repeatedly. Especially the math section, straight up got none wrong on that.

i didnt mind the psat, cause i did really good on it

but i had to take an sat a few weeks ago and that sucks

its absolutely mind numbing

Haha, not gunna lie I'm semi confused by it, I probably can get it right but what is the right answer? The only thing I'm good at is english, which I have an A- in right now because I wrote 3 seperate papers each in 5 minutes that got A's *CLAIM* Sorry I had to show I'm not a bumbling idiot, I'm just really bad at math!
 
i just took it. i thought it was easier than last year's. and that one section in math with the fill in questions was ridiculously easy. the writing section was hardest for me though. i finished until the end of the corrections and couldnt do any of the critical reading
 
took it today too. the math was ridiculously easy but i dont think i did very well on the english :/

and we didnt have a writing part
 
alright i just took them.. that was the dumbest expierience, it was so easy, if satsare even close to these, then im going to any college i want

 
SATs are so much harder. I took the SAT like two saturdays ago, and the PSAT this week. WAY easier.
 
cry about it bitch. i got to go into school at 10:30 on tuesday because of the psat so i was fine with it. and the SATs suck so much more so have fun with those. 5 hours is much worse than like 2 1/2. i am done with all that shit so im lucky
 
hahaha i just laughed at that questioni found them ridiculously easy, especially the first math section, i think i got every question right on thatthe only bitchy section was the grammar at the end
 
ya same here but Im taking a prep course and they boost your grade so much. on the first practice test I got a 1690 and the second one I got an 1860. we take two more before the actual test so well see how is goes. and I just took the psats. the kid I was sitting next to just made the shape of a penis in every section by filling in the bubbles haha it was hilarious
 
i think i did decent in the math, but i hate the reading and grammar stuff where it gives you basically a fine sentence and you have to find something wrong, or they underline the things that could be wrong. thats where it probably went bad for me
 
hahah duh. there was so many that were so hard on 5. i still find it funny that people actually cheated on it. retards.
 
i do so much better if that shit wasent timed, i feel rushed when the teacher post the time on the board
 
haha i hated the psats. this year i got a day off for a senior holiday but the other kids had to take it. I got like a 185 or so on the psat i think, but i raped the sat and got a 2230. psat only matters for scholarships and stuff. i thought the sat was way easier, but maybe thats because i actually tried on it haha
 
I got 97% in the reading and writing, but a 58% in the math, because I hadn't taken geometry back then, which was most of the math section.

But now I'm in physics, which means I'm doing lots of trig and geometry, so I'm not too worried about the SATs.
