I was the biggest anti-helmet person for a long time because I thought they all looked stupid and never fit me well. Well today, I screwed up on a 3 over about a 10 foot table. Landed at 270, caught the downhill edge and slammed into the landing. I am 100% sure my head hit the landing. I consider myself pretty lucky to not have a concussion. So, right after I got off the hill I spent the next two hours trying on over 20 different helmets. I ended up with a Giro G10 in white. Fits perfect with my crowbars, and looks sick once I tried it on with my goggles and jacket.
For those still not wearing a helmet, imagine the idea of not being to ski for the rest of your life because of a skull contusion or other head injury. Like I said, I didn't wear helmets for the longest time, but there are plenty of options out there that work and look good. There's really no excuse not to.
