i think i have both kinds of pics...

oh and to say that girls are just as strong as boys in the park, you are right, but i think its all mental, girls get scared easier, they dont have to impress all the guys they are skiing with to show they have balls and arent a pussy. they are pussies! at least some of us, the ones that can get over that mental gap of being scared of a big rail/jump, those are the pros: becca babicz, battersby, parker, kaya...etc...at least thats what i think.
 
oh man, defiently! 2 ACL surgeries are NOT cheap...goddam girls and their week cartalidge and ligaments, and bones, and minds...grrr
 
even if it wasnt andy parry hed probly be better than ashley battersby. Last picture I saw of her was her line pro post showing her eating ice cream and talking about her switch cork 5 attempt, that other observers said wasnt even cork. i really think tyler battersby should be alot more famous than she is.

and i think it is pretty rediculous for a girl on ns to not know what a mute grab is. and from what ive seen, it seems possible that ashley battersby also doesnt know what a mute grab is.

to be honest, i dont see a difference of girl non-skiers on here and boy non-skiers...what about D-ling or w/e? i know he doesnt ski
 
its not like having a myspace negates your ability to ski.

in a thread where its been repeatedly stated that girls suck at skiing, that the guys at NS have no respect for girl skiers, that the ones who are good at good because they have fat asses...etc.
 
agreed with you there. if they dont respect us though, you cant put them in a headlock and make them change their views. their views and their views, as shitty as they may be. doesnt mean we cant think they're assholes for viewing as that way though!!!
 
personally, i agree with this thread. i know i dont have any pictures of me doing anything in the park, but thats because i dont actually have any pictures of it. i do have a "myspaceish" picture, which was taken so that i could show my friend my new ec beenie, and i got some crap about how it should be on myspace. i think people should chill out and not attack just anyone beause i certainly dont have any dumb partying pictures, slutty myspace shots, and i definately know what a 360 mute is. i love snow, i love winter, and every single day i think about it, which im sure a lot of you can agree with. i just wanna shred! is that too much to ask?
 
I can totally back this up! Yes she was showing me the hat and that's why that myspaceish picture is up so don't flame her. She loves winter probably as much as anyone else on this site. So don't just going around hating on all of the girls on ns! There are steezey girls here! Yes I do realize that there are girls who have no clue what's going on but there are some girls who share the same love for the sport and season that we do! Spread the love not the hate!
 
i dont have any picstures really whatsoever.. i would never put random pics of myself on here to have an ego party.. thats just silly.. and as far as pics of me skiing go.. well i have none.. because i'm not asking people to take pics of me while i'm skiing so that i can flaunt the fact that i'm a skier on the internet. that shit doesn't even matter. i dont wanna waste any of my precious skiing time trying to set up a perfect shot for newschoolers. maybe if i were really decent than that'd be worth my while. but in the meantime i'm just obsessed with skiing, and the skiing aspect of skiing, not all the bullshit that comes with it.

Sorry, I've been around earth for a while, long enough to observe that if chicks participate in 'boyish' sports, theres a few very predictable reasons:

1) Because theres 'cute boys' who play the sport

2) Because if they dont hook up with number one, they can still use it as ammo to impress other cute boys in bars or at school

3) They're making money/getting famous off it

4) They actually like the sport (which comes with one caveat):

They're lesbians (see my cousin who was a champ soccer goalie, and my ex gf, who was a semi-pro skater)

Not 100% true, but I'd probably say 90%. Girls sometimes like doing something, but rarely ever put any heart into it, and they use their biology as an excuse (as if girls are weaker? please, you're also faster, more flexible, lighter weight, etc). I'd trade my useless strength for that any day!

Guys if you haven't noticed, there is a lack of pink over in that online list. More girls = good thing... for the moment at least. Look at it this way, you can take out all your sexual frustrations on them, without scaring away any of our real members.
 
i know a few girls on this site that claim to ski and claim to be really good but cant even slide a 5 foot wide flat box yet they claim sponsorship.
 
dont really ever have a camera on me while skiing other than the one on my shitty cellphone so ive got like... mmm 2 pics of me skiing? not anything interesting either, so why post it? funny pics of me being a goofball, why not post 'em? plus how would you even find this site/be on this site if your not a skier?
