PS4 Release

been seriously debating buying one. i haven't bought a new system since ps2 (excluding wii), but i haven't decided whether i should get a 4 now, or a 3 now and a 4 in 6-8 months when they go down in price.

thoughts? thread jack....

My ps3 died last week so I'm waiting in line at Walmart for 5 hours to get it. I'm honestly so fucjing bored right now.

won the taco bell contest, got the ps4 yesterday, flipped that shit for 700, bought a pass to whistler, skiing there this weekend. thank u t bell

will likely be getting it tomorrow. pre-ordered from bestbuy and i got a confirmation of it being shipped today. and it was shipped from like 5 hours from where i live.

then it'll be battlefield 4 for the foreseeable future. which will be great and save me a lot of money because lately i've been buying shit out of boredom in my spare time. BAD.

thought about it but ive been getting back in to gaming after a long hiatus, so i'm looking for something to keep me entertained during the winter...when i'm not skiing, of course. so basically i'm not waiting...its just a matter of which one to buy. money isn't a HUGE issue, but $200 sounds a little better than $400.

Well I was going to just buy another ps3 but I thought may as well just buy the ps4 because I'm probably going to want it sometime in the future anyways.

yep

No, even if I had the money Im living in hotels for the next couple months and don't have any clue how I could do the initial online setup thing.

Will buy one when I can though won't purchase another PS3 game.

Probably not. It's the very beginning of a new generation in comparison to the very end of the last, in which developers had figured out how to max everything out. The new games coming out will be cool, but I'm excited to see what will be released a few years from now once everyone figures out how to work on the new platform.

With that said, I will definitely be picking one up in the next few months. My brother bought 3 last night so maybe if he flips one for a decent profit he'll give me a good deal on the other one haha.

Not released where I live until mid-Dec which is annoying because if I hadn't pre-ordered here in August I could have picked one up online and had it sooner.

I'm not impressed tbh.

My roommate bought it. We hooked it up on his 40" samsung LED last night. I'm not too impressed with graphics after seeing what can be done with PS3 in GTA V

Now imagine what GTA 9 will look like on PS4 in 10 years. The games that launched with the Xbox360 and PS3 didn't look all that much more impressive than the final PS2 games either. How quickly people forget due to overhype of a new system haha.

This is such a breath of fresh air to read considering all of the moron fanboys who have been arguing moot points like retards for months.

Yeah the New XBone has an 8 core CPU and 8gb ram. I bet most games won't come close to being optimized for that system for a long time, and when they do it'll be nuts

Thanks. I think you've just convinced me to get a 3 for the time being and wait for a while for the 4 to come down in price. besides, i've got a lot of games to catch up on anyway.

i read somewhere the other day the average time for a major system to come down in price is around 2 years. this is not including bundle stuff, where the discount is realistically through the other stuff that comes with it.

Probably troll, they are top competitors, doubt they would do something like that. You never know though.

competitors yes.

enemies no.

there is enough room for two players in an extremely rapidly growing and lucrative market
