PS3 vs. XBOX

Alright guys i need some opinions, i finally have decided to upgrade from my N64. there is a lot of controversy on this and i need to make up my mind, I want to be able to play a lot of live. help me out.

if you wish to play a lot of live, then surely xbox is your best option.

but honestly, buy what most of your friends have

buy neither and then use the money you save to buy 11 dildos. you will get much more use out of the dildos. I did this and my life has been great ever since.

xbox --> Better live community, better controllers.

PS3 --> no live fees, higher quality build and more reliable

ur dumb... the sixaxis controllers are lighter.. dont require a battery, have motion sense technology and a better button/toggle layout and the vibration isnt muffled away by the 3 inches of heavy plastic covering the xbox controller

This, playstation controllers feel like someone shot me in both my hands when I use them. And if you play xbox, you get Halo, so fuck playstation.

i recently asked a gamestop employee to try and sell me on which he thought was better. Until recently, the only game system(s) I have ever owned were gameboys and my computer. His response was that if I am looking for better graphics, I should go with ps3. Supposedly, Blu-ray disks are also more resilient than plain od DVD. Xbox has better online play.

Most of my friends have ps3, so I went with that. The only games I play are Black Ops zombies (Kino Der Toten - add me NS_Errl if you want to play), and fifa '12.

In terms of graphical potential, PS3 is more powerful that xbox. HOWEVER, when it comes to multi-platform games (games on both consoles, like COD, Battlefield, GTA, elder scrolls, etc...) They just look and perform better on Xbox almost all the time.

Basic explanation: The developers don't feel like wasting extra time and money to make the games look better on PS3, due to the difficulty of the cell processors, so they make the games for 360, then port them down to PS3, and they end up looking worse. And a lack of space on the DVD discs.

As for exclusive games, PS3 exclusives look a lot better, Uncharted 3, Killzone, God of War.. You can't get graphics like that on a 360 because of the limited GPU and the limited space on the dvd-disc compared to Blu-Ray.

get a wii, i have one and theyre great

I have both and I play both about the same. You just can't beat Halo on the xbox. But I do like playing NHL on the PS3 much more than the xbox.

This, but at the same time the controllers are the same they just have different colors and letters, but the layout on the PS3 is a lot cleaner and easier cause its actually symmetrical, I like it better. Go with what your friends have, playing video games is boring alone anyways.

PS3 has GT5, so yes, there is a discussion, and PS3 has many other great exclusive titles such as MSG, MSG4 was probably one of the best games I ever played.

can you tune cars in gt?......no......and can you customize them?......no. do you have forza hoizon coming out which is simulation physics in an open world environment?.......no

Wow, it sounds like you could use a racing game like iRacing if you care about physics and tunes so much. Takes a real man to be able to be even somewhat competitive on iRacing.

Um, yes, and yes (well sorry that GT5 doesn't let you make your cars rice, but GT5 is about the beauty of cars), and no they don't have Forza horizon because its not Forza, however GT5 with a wheel is a lot more realistic then Forza, which is what matters, I mean with a controller Forza probably is better. However if you don't have a wheel, how much do you really care about and know about racing? Or is just about making all your cars have fart cans, big spoilers and exotic paint jobs.

you dont have to make your cars rice

forza horizon is forza

i have used a wheel with forza and used a wheel on gt4 and it felt exactly the same

not all about rice.....but at least we have the option to change it up and have some fun.

you're comparing Forza 4 to GT4.......

newsflash, GT5 has been out for two years, is a lot better, and gets updates fairly often to become even better.

true, but i was just relating my wheel experience. since i have only plaved gt5 by normal controller

Well then IMO, I wouldn't judge and automatically say one is better then the other, I have limited play on Forza, don't get me wrong its a great game, I think they're both 9/10 or 10/10 because I'm a huge racing guy, and race myself. The better person to ask his opinions would be Shintastic48, he owns both, and plays them both on wheel and controller, and he is better at driving them me, racing professional in Renault 3.5 in Japan.

Xbox used to be king. It had all the exclusives including Halo. But now all they really have is Halo and Forza. PS3 has uncharted, infamous, Gran Turismo, and many more to come because sony has signed naughty dog and sucker punch to produce games solely for PS3. As for controllers Xbox ones seem to have much more problems. All my friends controllers will turn off randomly, the battery pack won't stay in, or they're just broken. Also, PS3 has free online play. That's just my two cents

A lot of pluses, again, in my first point, to me it would really come down to what and how many friends are on what system. But if thats not your factor, pay attention to these things.

Haha, not quite Renault 3.5. Renault 2.0 with a variant Nismo tuned engine for a few extra HP's.

As for the differences between Forza 4 and GT5. I like them both for different reasons. And they are both fun for what they have on the positives side.

Car Graphics: GT5 (Premium Only)

Track Graphics: Forza 4

Car Selection: Forza 4

Track Selection: Forza 4

Car Customization: Forza 4

Controller Physics: Forza 4

Steering Wheel Physics: GT5

Immersion: Forza 4

Sounds: Forza 4

Online Racing: GT5

Just my opinions though.
