PS3 vs. XBOX

But, there is a new one my pa3 just got. It's called the YLOD or yellow light of death, it's practically the same thing only it's very fixable.
 
WRONG, I did on the first gen. I think I have a 3rd gen now (from insurance)....its the model BEFORE the slim PS3
 
I believe they only had two gens. The first one and the slim. My friends nor I have ever had a YLOD though and that's about 8 PS3s between us
 
You guys must be doing something wrong with your PS3 s. I've had my launch 60gb model and have absolutely never run into a problem with it.
 
Forza doesn't need 5+ years of development time. that's a big factor when the designers can push out a similar quality game in a fraction of the time. In all honesty the wait for GT5 was not worth it imo.
 
But see, in my opinion you can't compare the way two of them in that way. From the Beginning the GT series has not been a game that has a new version come out every year or two. It has always taken them 3 or 4 years in between titles. As for Forza, it has always been a title that has had a new version come out every other year. So, it's just how they do things. I agree, the wait for GT5 was definitely not worth it. But, at the end of the day, I still for some reason find myself playing GT5 over Forza, despite liking them equally as much.
 
Obviously you haven't been around since the beginning. The first three Grand Turismo titles were all released within 6 years of each other. With each game being a marked improvement over the last. With GT3 A-Spec arguably being the best of the franchise.

Grand Turismo released 1997

Grand Turismo 2 released 1999

Grand Turismo 3 A-Spec released 2001

Grand Turismo 4 released 2005

Grand Turismo 5 released 2010

I played 3 up until the day 4 came out. The jump in quality between 3 and 4 was so drastic and the fact that nothing on the market could compare to 4 made the 4 year development time feel justified.

But to say that a five year development time is justified when they pump out a game on par with the competition is absurd and frankly a waste of resources. I was expecting GT5 to be head and shoulders above any other racing game on the market simulation or arcade.
 
I have both. I love my xbox because most of my friends have one. I only use my ps3 to watch movies and netflix
 
get a box. i find that it is a more comfortable controller, but thats just because it is what i am used to.

we also have halo

go with a ps3 if you play a lot of cod because the cod ps3 players suck
 
Dont buy either!heres what you do:

#1 get a pair of ski's.

#2 Triple cork 18 until they snap,

#3 rub those pieces of wood together creating a fire,

#4with this fire, smelt some aluminium, and plastic, found from the random Gopro cases found at your home mountain.

#5 make an Xbox/PS3

#6 realise you cant pay for live or the batteries in the controller

#7 Enjoy your home-made PS3

#8 ??????? (preorder jib-life)

#9 $$$profit$$

#9 loss of profit cos your playing ps3 and not working
