PS3 vs. XBOX 360

just wait until halo 3. we got jipped on halo 2 because bungie decided they wanted to make a 3rd game, they could have ended it but chose not to and kindof effed up the storyline, but look for the storyline in H3 to be veeery sick.
 
it's hard to say, but if sony is willing to lose hundreds of millions a year to put out a console because people want it, that kind of shows that it might be fucking dope. most games come out on either now except for specific ones to keep it real but everyone just shut the fuck up.
 
PS3 has immensly better graphics, the controller might look funny but it probably feels comfortable
 
... that makes absoulutely no sense. The number 1 priority of any business is to turn a profit. Why would they produce something to lose money?
 
PS3 will be the fastest personal computer putting out an ungodly 7.2 Ghz...also it will play "blu-ray" DVDs (the cheapest blu ray dvd players are around a grand), plus it has the expandable hard drive that will run an OS at some point, plus it has better games (except halo, but I''m sure they'll have something on par for the PS3)...In conclusion the PS3 will rock
 
the "PS3 will lose money" is a pointless argument. ALL CONSOLES ARE LOSS LEADERS TO GAIN MARKETSHARE. Sony and Microsoft earn money from the licenscing fee on games (and in sony's case, Blu-ray videos).

The PS3 is expected to sell at $50-100 below production cost because Sony has an interest in quickly creating a market for Blu-ray distributions of Hi-Def Films. The first HD-DVD and Blu-ray players are expected to cost $1000, and with the PS3 being less than half of that, and able to play all of my old games (with progressive output), thats my choice. Flame all you want.

not a lot of people are going to spend 700 dollars on a VIDEO SYSTEM! use your computer if u wanna dvd burner. xbox 360 will be pretty much the same thing as ps3 at the end of the day and xbox 360 is 300 dollars cheaper

nobody can say anything intil they are both out on the market. i was dissapointed in the 360's graphics (still kick ass but i dont see my idea of "next gen").. and sony has been known to be full of shit sometimes. i meant even now the word is the killzone and metal gear solid video's which were suposedly which the gameplay engine were really computer rendered.. so who knows? my guess is graphics goes to ps3 and gameplay/online goes to 360..

Might be cool for football but not for anything else

The 360 can have 4 wireless and 3 wired so they could probably do this also.

Reason #7: You Can Still Pre-Order

Most stores don't do pre-orders and even if you do you arent guaranteed to get it the night it comes out.

Reason #8: Hefty Expandability / Connectivity Options

I don't have a PSP or anything that uses memory sticks.

Reason #9: Dual-Screen and 1080p Support

Two screens is sick. I'll give that point to PS3 but I don't have an HDTV and won't get one until I absolutely have to.

Reason #10: Xbox 360 Doesn't Have a Killer App

Perfect Dark, Call of Duty 2, and soon HALO 3.
 
also being able to turn the xbox 360 on and off with the controller is fucking killer. I don't know if the ps3 is gonna do that but thats definitely my favorite new feature on the 360.
 
i think the ps3 will have more potencial because it will have a high def hard drive which allows more room for more space in games, but xbox just has high def capabilities with a dvd hard drive, which limits it a lot, but xbox will always be better than any ps seeing as playstation SUCKS IN EVERY WAY
 
i will tell you that xbox will probably have better live, but PS has seen the xbox live setup and probably come out with one just as good, they have the power. I like sony alot better that xbox too cause the people who work for xbox are gay. Half of them lie and have sour puss attitudes. Ps3 probably will pwn it but we will see

As far as graphics and power goes the PS3 is far more powerful than the xbox:

Games? What does the 360 have besides Halo (which IMO is a shitty game anyway)? PS3 has the GTA games, MGS, Killzone, SOCOM, and then all those weird Japanese games that give nerds boners.

As for the controler, who cares if it looks weird: your not looking at it if your playing (unless your a n00b). If they made a controler that looks like that you know it has to be really comfertable.
 
ya i think that PS3 is going to murder XBOX 360, becuase it has really good games and much more power plus its going to have insane graphics. the only problem with PS3 is going to be online stuff because sony's servers suck ass

PS3 ISN'T EVEN OUT YET YOU DUMBASS, shure the games look nice in magazines or adds, but unless u have actually played games FOR BOTH SYSTEMS you can't say shit about either systems in that department, you think all last generation system games are cool thats nice go find a thread on last gen. systems.

I was talking about was games are coming out for each system. Even if a system was 10x better than all the other ones it is the games that are important. If the system has only shitty boring games than that system is worthless. I wasn't talking about last gen. games, I was talking about the next gen. games that are in development. IMO the games that are lined up for the PS3 are far better than those lined up for the 360.
 
i no this is off topic but i hope that this time all the games come out for all the systems because im mad about how gamecube had nothin' (I buy the cheapest system) And i don't think the revolution is going to be to shabby, that remote control thingy is kinda cool cause if you get sick of it they have specail controllers you can stick it in and play it like a regular game controller

And i love how you can download all the oldschool games from regular nintendo to gamecube on to your revolution... for a fee of course though...

So I'm going wit' the cheaper system, i just have no idea when the revolution comes out :/
 
yah but no one has played the games so no one knows how good they are, Halo 3 could blow, and gta could rock... or vise versa, no one has played these games yet... unless you went to that convention thingy were you get to play all the next gen. games...
 
and i like the idea that the DVD player comes seperate b/c it lowers the price by like 50$ (probably not that much) and what person doesn't already have a DVD player?
 
Well, each system has its strong, and weak points.

The strong point for an XBOX would be the halo games.But the main problem is that the controler sucks big time.

The strong point for the PS3 would be all the kick-ass war games that usually come with the playstation games. The one real flaw in thier plan is that they don't really have any "original" games for their systems. Whereas XBOX has Halo and such.

If I had to choose between either one, I would probably want the PS3, mostly because of the controler.
 
Wait i don't understand what's so bad about the XBOX 360 controller, isn't just like the old one...

cause i had no problem with the old controler (the original XBOX controlers did sux though, the real big ones...)
 
Nintendo has some of the most fun and innovative games. WarioWare, Mario Party, the Mario sports, and so many other sweet party games. I wish I had a gamecube just for the games I said cause they're so much fun. But then again so is Halo.
 
i don't really like the mario games and wario games anymore, i just don't like to spend alot of money
 
Well we will be getting the next Final Fantasy games so eat that! And only the Halo 2 Campaign was bad, the first Halo was sick!
 
I agree actually, as much as i like xbox, halo is only fun in campaign the first time around... i never sit down and play halo on campaign mode anymore unless im playing co-op... and even that is multiplayer... i guess hao is not meant to be a one man game... =(
