Alright. So our store (superstore) recieved 2 60g's and thats it. 2 guys started to tent out this morning at 8 am. I worked tonight from 5-10, and in those 5 hours i got 102 phone calls regarding ps3. one hundred and two. Yeah.. i kept a tally. When the 100th guy called i went crazy. Told him he was the 100th caller, and he thought that ment he won one. retard.

Anyways this is where the story comes in. The superstore in the town east of us had a huge brawl at 1pm this afternoon for buyers in line. A group of adults were drinking, and started fighting these other kids in line. The got arrested for a few different charges. retards.

Best buy in our area at 8:00pm tonight was arrested for preselling the systems illegally. They recieved 10 units, sold 2 for cash straight up- cops were called, all units we recalled. Best buy got fined, workers got fired, and they are now selling none (that store only).

Drunks - retards. Best buy- retards. 102 Callers- retards.

Several people who came into the store told me that they will come for opening in the morning and will bulge through the door to be the first ones in to get the units. I cant fucking wait to see the tape of this when i go in for my afternoon shift. I know that the police will be called, and because half the people were actually mentally challenged i know some really dumb shit will happen and some crazy charges will be pressed.

its almost worth getting up early to go in and watch this live.. im thrilled.

But think about it like this - its a game system. All of this for a game system, something to do to pass some spare time here and there. I dont think i will ever understand. Ill keep you posted with what happens in the morning. I cant wait.

people are doing it to resell them cuz you can get mad cash on ebay. its so funny tho the one me and my friend went to there was 900 people and 9 cop cars and a swat van and the store had 30 units. we went just to have a good laugh.

no dude. Ebay won't do that shit. A 20 gb $1800 a few minutes ago. A bunch of my friends are just buying a bunch and reselling them. If you don't have anything to do. Waiting in line a few days to make over $1000 is awesome. People have been waiting over a week for one here.
 
360-ps3 i dont know why people are wasting there money on things that will be out of date in a couple years go spend your money on some new skis or somethin that might actually help you in life
 
there was an armed robbery at my local electonics store last night at 3 in the morning, he took the guys 600 bucks to buy a ps3, ehehhehehehe.
 
as far as I know, ebay can't put a cap on what people are willing to pay, if it were true, everyone would just sell them on another site to make money.

Distracting self from my paper with this is counterproductive but I noticed the next one to end just did the same thing. At this point it would be hilarious if these joke biders killed the whole ebay market for ps3.
 
My local Best Buy got 26 units-20 of the 60g and 6 20g. i feel bad for the people who wait in line forever and only end up with the 20g if they wanted the 60g one.
 
My friends are camping out for PS3 (Since wednsday morning) and they are 26th and 27th in line
 
Gotta love Canada, we showed up yesterday at 11 and were first in line, they had 11 units in total, and once 11 guys showed up we just told everyone else theres no chance and they left. So we all just had some beers and watched the game until morning.

My friend actually gave up his spot in line (#2) for 1000$ hard cash, meaning he made 1000$ for sitting outside for 3-4 hours, hopefully I can make around that much on ebay this week.
 
You should wait in line for PS3 then sell it on Ebay, make 1-2 thousand and go buy an xbox360 and you'll still have tons of cash left

 
Yo Jake that is crazy. And Nick is a fucking lier. He got 4 PS3's in not 2. Then he only brought 2 to the front to sell. So I asked him what he's doing with the other 2 he has in the back still and he freaked out on me and called me a lier, even though everyone saw 4. So yea you can count on those being on ebay within 24 hours.

my friend ask me to tent outside walmart on saturday to wait for the wii i said no im not sleepingin -4 weather on concrete outside walmart to get a system i dont need
 
I dont want to be racist, but the store we passed last night (Sony store in Seattle) had two brand new Lancer Evo 8's parked in front of it and about 100 asians camping out.
 
did you hear about people getting held up by gangs out east? and some people started fights and got arested. imagine sitting in line for a few days and getting in a fight a few hours before and getting arested.

there is way to much hype, and WAY to much money being spent on it, i like video games and all, but i would never camp out just to wake up and drop 600 dollars on ps3, and if I ever had 1,500 and i was absolutley obsessed, i would wait for a month when they are available instead of paying that much just to be the first to get it
 
Dude someone got fucking shot over this shit. I just read it on the news. Isn't that fucked up? Two armed thugs tried to rob someone of their ps3 or something like that, and they shot him.
 
Yeah, that happened over here in CT i think. They robbed everyone in line for their cash and someone said no so they shot him.
 
i get really excited when i hear about all the hype for a new game console cause its just so great to hear all these stories and how desparate ppl are to be the first to have one its crazy..im not that big of a gamer, i got a ps2 but i only play a couple times a month
