Sony has screwed up in almost every way possible with their newest console.

1. Ridiculous Price

2. Blu Ray doesnt really matter, 360 can do 1080p without it

3. Lost exclusive Unreal Tournament 3

4. Not enough units for comsumers at launch

5. Lost exclusive Devil May Cry 4

6. Lost exclusive Assasins Creed

7. 360 controller owens the PS3 controller

8. Posed Nintendo with the motion sensing controller

9. About to lose exclusive FFXIII

10. Lost GTA IV exclusive

Next thing you know they'll lose METAL GEAR SOLID 4 and HEAVENLY SWORD. WTF is Sony on!?

 
its microsofts turn. then nintendo will make its almighty return with a new mario game that trumps the 64 version. besides i already knew the ps3 was gonna suck
 
Number 4, nothing bad at all. Its called marketing and the proper way to run a business. They are so limited and look how many people want it now.
 
i do agree that Nintendo is gonna be very succesful but i think that Microsoft will stay on top with Nintendo, Its pretty much just gonna be a competition between Microsoft and Nintendo, it all comes down to:

Super Mario Galaxy Vs. HALO 3 in which im leaning a little bit more towards HALO 3
 
all of those things are just because sony got too confident. like with GTA, rockstar wanted to be PS3 exclusive, but sony was too busy playing grabass to sign them on. if they lose final fantasy, they will never recover, because thats the only thing that might redeem them. the japanese will finally want the 360, and microsoft will make sony its prison bitch like everyone else that tries to compete with bill gates and co.
 
Exactly. Supply and Demand. Their aren't many available, so they can sell them for twice as much as they should because people will pay it. After that they can start releasing more and slowly drop the price. All about marketing, and by the looks of it, they slay.
 
My comments were only on the business aspect. I have no clue about anything technical about it. I hate video games, and don't even know what a PS3 looks like.

1. Ridiculous price...because its rediculously expensive to make. Sonly loses about $300 on each PS3 so I've heard. Why do you think bluray players are 1000-1500 dollars? Cause they're expensive to make, and the PS3 is only like 700.

2. Bluray DOES matter, it will win the next video format race, 1080p in the 360 is completely different. You're comparing video game output to movie playing capabilities.

3. All the rest can pretty much be lumped into one. Sure they lost alot, but thats the nature of the beast, happens all the time. I wouldn't say they posed nintendo with the motion sensing controller because they are very different.

As for not enough systems at launch? Its good business for supply and demand, yes, but there are other reasons. Generation 1 of any system is incredibly buggy. Why would they want to send over millions of PS3's if they all end up being buggy? Might as well send over a few, see how they work, fix any problems that come up and then send over a lot.
 
im not sayin that blu ray doesnt matter as a format and i agree that it has a better chance of winning the format war what im questioning is whether it really matters in gaming. Consumers dont give a choice of whether to get the blu ray capabilities or not and most gamers dont even have HD tvs. its one thing losing an exclusive but this is an entirely different situation. Sony has lost countless exclusives many of which were the reason to get a PS3.
 
GTA4 was never exlusively for PS3, and Assasins Creed is out for the PC and I hope it'll be out for Xbox 360 cause it looks bad ass. I hope FFXIII will be for the 360 too because then it will really trump any good game for the PS3. Halo 3, FFXIII (maybe), Gears of War, Assasins Creed (maybe). I agree that they flopped the motion sensor controller because theirs isn't great while Wii is incredible. Also, I think it would have been a better idea to make a blu-ray version and a non blu-ray version so people who don't want to pay $800 to play PS3 wont have to.
 
i made so much bank on PS3s on release day... paid 5 of my friends (each with solid eBay accounts) $500 each to chill in line at wal-mart with me for about 24 hours before the release. so 6 PS3s. I had to pay a couple people who were already there $500 each for their places in line so i'd be sure to get all 6. Equipped all of my friends and myself with $600ish each to pay for the PS3s... so basically I threw down $7200ish that day, ended up with 6 PS3s that night, put them all up on Ebay (limit one per Ebay account, so i had to be sure everyone had one) and pulled $3000 for two of them and $2750 for the other 4. All went smoothly and such, and I ended up with $17000 the next morning. my friends were stoked they got $500 cash too for not doing much. so yea like 10K profit. jea
 
Everyone was bitching about no ps3's at launch, but now you can go into any wal-mart and get one, since a few months ago. But yet nobody's whining about wii's even though you STILL cant find them fucking anywhere.
 
I know a guy who did that exact same thing, except nobody bought it on ebay. He lost about 20 grand doing it, it was on a bigger scale.
 
everyone talking about supply and demand shit, why are there tons of ps3's on the shevles and no wii's, and more shipped wii's than ps3's?

umm dude....i extremly doubt youve ever seen a ps3 in a store for sale unless you were there the release day...and the futureshop by me has 2 wii's and the toys r us has 1...i declare bullshit on your post
 
they allowed me to buy one at launch and sell it at a much greater, rediculous price.

the costco i was at had at least 15 on April 14, do you live in Canada? cuz i do so that could be the difference

most walmarts have had 1 in winnipeg as well
 
I played my freinds PS3, Wii ad 360 all in one day, The 360 slayed, i was so impressed, the wii, was good, but i got tired after playing ssx blur for like 4 hours, and The ps3 was the big disapointment for me. The graphics are supposed to be "unmatched", but really, the best ive ever seen are on Gears of war. I think th ePs3 should be selling for 300 bucks, but then again, Blu ray does cost shitloads of money, and the marketing is good. But thats just me....
 
number 2 is completely wrong. Blue ray disc technology has very little to do with resolution. A blue ray disc can hold 83 times more data than a dvd if i remeber correctly. also read speeds are way higher. This would allow for bigger games and faster run times. If sony chooses to use it to there advantage, couped with the 9 cell processor the ps3 would be amazing. It all a matter of game devolopment
 
Ya i agree with you. I have a 360 and my friends has a ps3 and i have yet to see a game with as good as graphics as gears.
