PS3 and Best Buy

To make a long story short about Best Buy and PS3. I got there and there was about 60 people in a blob. I walk inside and said hi to my manger stand outside. i went to my department and asked some of the guys wtf is going on. they told me that they are not suppose to line up untill 11(when the store closes) and the mangament tired to kick them out. well the blob of people didnt listen. so the police were called. the cops are writing tickets out to the people who stay. then tomorrow at 8am when the doors open, there is no line, just a blob. and the first 32 people though the doors get one.... crazy shit...
 
already one yesterday at the bestbuy near me. pretty stupid to wait 2 days just to get a video game system.
 
haha i was just at best buy and there was this huge line and the people in the front of the line had like a fuckin couch, TV, Cooler, Generator and some other shit.......i as laughing so hard
 
Yesterday, 2 guys with guns robbed all the people waiting outside best-buy. One of them told him he wouldnt give him the money so they shot him.

WEST BEND, Wis. — A person was injured Thursday morning outside a Wal-Mart department store racing for a chance to buy one of 10 coveted video game systems the store will put on sale Friday.

An assistant manager announced to a crowd of about 50 people that the store was only going to receive about 10 of the Sony PlayStation 3 game consoles and the store official placed 10 chairs outside of the store, police said.

At the signal, the customers were told to run to try to occupy one of the chairs to be able to buy the system at 12:01 a.m. on Friday.

i have a friend that works at bestbuy and he said that people started to camp out on wednesday. idk about you guys but i think that wed. is kinda pathetic. and then he told me they only had like 20 in stock or some really low number. i dont get why they dont make more... but i dont really understand marketing so...
 
i dunno but personally i dont see how camping out was a dumb move like some of you are saying? my dad is one of those freaks who you see on the news always first in line for things. hes been first in line for elton john concerts, u2 concerts, simon and garfunkels farewell tour cnocerts, and other big events at our local arena. he always brings friends with him, and they get first in line and wait for a few days. they can each buy 8 tickets, so basically he buys the front row out every time. then they sell them on ebay. hes made over 2000 per pair of front row tickets for some of the concerts, and all he paid was about 90-150 bucks a piece. i think its smart and using an event like this to their advantage, just like people are doing for the ps3.
