XBOX because of games like Halo and Halo 2 and sould caliber, its the games. I hate ps2 games (or at least when i owned one) because they were all anime RPG bullshit, not like icewind dale or that but the slow style. BETTER GAMES

i have ps2 and gamecube, i dont reallyl play systems that much but i like ps2 (for how much i play). i dont do online games (although i would love halo if they made it for ps2, iw ould get the online) but the best is snes and nes and n64, awsome games = super mario bros (all of em) and golden eye!

The list goes on, the xbox owns ps2 in every category i can think of other than turn based rpg. Fable will turn the tables in the rpg's.

as for online:

Xbox is free and better

2 month free live cards

you get them with everything and people give them away online, i have 1 year of online without paying a dime thanks to 2 month free cards. Xbox live on halo 2 will include clan support along with other features.

Xbox connect

Free again, allows you to play with 16 people, and split screen at your house at the same time. so fun.

Elgato, Halo is a Bungie-soft game. They're owned by microsoft, but they fucking HATE Bill Gates with a fiery passion. In the credits to one of their older games, they called him the Darth Vader of the software world (if they'd gone much farther, it would've been libel). This is why Halo is available for Mac.

i have played t hem all, and i own a ps2, but xbox is easily the best. the controls are easier. like if you want proof compare playing tigerwoods golf on ps2 and then on xbox, and its so much better on the box

The only thing that makes me hesitate between ps2 and Xbox is the online options. Free for ps2, and costly (with a monthly price) for Xbox. If the online mode was free, Xbox would probably win hands down. Halo and Amped.

On the other hand, Ps2 has GTA. I know it's on Xbox, but who wants to get a game one year after it gets out for the same price as when it came out first? Honestly... GTA San Andreas looks to be one of the greatest games of all time.

Gamecube is a measly piece of shit. Honestly, the only game that might have been good is Zelda (because I had it on the 64), but I havent played it on the Game Cube. You can't watch DVDs or play music or go online (I think)...

I'd say Xbox and Ps2 are tied.

oh, and the price of the ps2 online adapter is the same as one year of xbox live (if you choose to buy the xbox live subscription instead of free cards)
