Wasnt sure who to quote but no. Alexander graham bell did not invent the telephone. It was invented by an italian Antonio Meucci he did not have the money for the patent. Agb talked him into sharing his research stole the design and applied for the patent calling it his own. Meucci did not have the money nor connections to contest it and so it was forever known as bell's invention. Eventually meucci to bell to supreme court but died before the case could be heard/resolved. So nobody in this thread is right about the telephone. To the argument it was invented in canada hence its canadas, meucci invented it in cuba. So an italian in cuba invented the phone making entirely useless in this argument. I hope you enjoyed my fairly irrelevant post normal service in this thread can now resume.
