Anyway, it's amazing when you really think of it how far we have come, we have to be one of the best if not the best sports community out there...compared to most we are a pretty tight knit group of people who all share the same passion. Listening to Tammy speak about proving skiing was more than bashing gates really stuck out. If you think about it we are sort of a minority, so it's amazing to see all of us putting in work together to get our sport out there, show what we are about; and to do it on a world stage is amazing. We haven't just progressed in tricks (which is unbelievable to think we went from Sw 7s to nose butter triples) but as a community and as a sport. I don't think I have ever been more proud to say I'm part of this community, despite all the hate, it's a pretty cool thing. I'm really looking forward to the day some of the leaders of our community are standing on pedestals in front of the whole world at Sochi. Can't wait to watch the olympics more than ever now, what are your thoughts?
 
as OP said, despite all crap comp skiers have been given, the olympics is still huge for freeskiing and i'm more stoked than ever to be a part of this incredible sport and culture.
 
I will just be glad that after the Olympics, I won't have to explain to people what freeskiing is. Thank you Olympics.
 
I am aswell proud of freeskiing. We have truly come a long way and I doubt that you can name any otger sport with as tight knit of a community. And I am proud to be a part of it. Fuck yeah Newschoolers!
 
Newschoolers and freeskiing just go hand in hand. Newschoolers represents freeskiing. i am proud to be a freeskier, even though theres a lot of hate going around, but hey haters are your motivators
 
how else are they supposed to take it? 'oh our style of skiing is in the olympics, might as well ignore that and continue on trying to be an underground sport.' no, go away
 
You act like you guys are serving in the military or something. Go ski, that's how you're supposed to take it. People are getting way too hurt over this.
 
what are you even talking about? i can say the same to you, go ski, stop hating on people. nobody got hurt in this thread
