Prototyping

you must keep the ability to change the camera angle. its soooo crucial! you might even said it adds a whole new dimension to the game!
dont forget to animate the grabs this time around! keep it steezy!
licolns, rodeos, misties, corks, bios, etc.
some awesome park levels.
we'll pay you... ahead of time!
 
dont forget butters, crashes, and maybe some character animation? like sexy little crouches and stuff? keep it steezy!
 
just a few ideas

you could make the "a"key for afterbang, "b" key for butter, and spacebar for pop
zoom the camera in a little closer
the guy skis backwards right now lol
he cant start skiing switch
make him be able to spin a 1 on flat ground so you can switch it up between booters

 
So sick. Makes Gnarsh so much better. Since its just a prototype heres a few things that could make it doper:

- name spins

-grabs

-zoom in

- choose where u start

- and not inverted keys

but otherthen that dope game
 
I think he means like press "p" to lock the camera in place. Press "p" again to unlock the cam to move it. SOmething like that, so you don't loose your angle by bumping your mouse by accident.
 
^that would be really hard to program. It would be easier to just embed a screen cam thats saves to your computer, and then edit your own footage on your own editing software.
 
2 things that I find really interesting:
The steering controls are only backwards if you are looking downhill from behind the skier like most other games. Maybe people find that more natural? Looking at this withfresh eyes today I think the camera angle could be better for playing classic style (looking up the hill from in front of the rider) to see more terrain in front of you.
I didn't post anywhere that hitting the spacebar makes you jump, but people have hit it almost 50,000 times already. Habit from playing Jibbin?

and i think the angle from behind (opposite from traditional gnarsh angle) is much more enjoyable

id rather have two options for camera, one front and one back. then you can just program the one from behind as the opposite controls as it is now and leave the other one as is.
 
Perhaps test then, fuck idk im just trying to say if needs help with anything. I would be down to contribute. If not it makes no difference to me. I am offering to help out instead of moaning about him not doing free work.but ya he probably dose know how it runs...
 
you have to leave the unlimited camera angels, its truly an amazing feature and will add a lot to inevitable epic gnarsh edits.
i'm more than wiling to contribute cash for this ish
 
shadow cast from the rider at all times would make it easier to tell where you are while going toward features.It's also hard to get around the park, idk how you'd fix that thoughbeing able to ride up the side of landings and jump off them like the 2d game would make getting unstuck a lot easier.

I just noticed that sometimes the trees get in the way and that there's inverted maneuvering when the camera is behind the rider
 
hope you didn't forget about the 3d prototype. its awesome right now, but some finishing touches and stuff would be sick
