Just picked these up but I need to sell them becasue I got another pair of skis instead.

They are 178s

These were made in the canadian factory before line moved shop to china. They have been ridden 3 times. They have never been mounted they were skied with reactor bindings. The topsheets are a extra durable nylon topsheet for durability.

 
ebay, saw em, considered em, ehhh, There seems to be some guy there that has a lot of prototype and rare line stuff.
 
to be 100% honest i want to keep them but i got bills to pay and that comes first so heres a chance to scoop up a pair of skis that you will NEVER see anywhere else
 
Man Line really needs to make a shit with that graphic....soo simple, but soo styleish.
 
hey sorry for the "low ball offer" keep in mind these are still used and still 1st gen invaders and as prototypes they probably werent babied. i think peoples money would be better spent buying a new pair for under 300 bucks and getting warrenty coverage for a year. not everyone here is dumb enough to pay retail(of a new pair) for these because theyre rare.
 
How the fuck do you know they werent babied dude...they are practically brand new have you seen them in person? no so lets not get into the condition of the skis unless you have seen them period. and thats fine what you think...these are one of the only pairs of invaders that will actually hold upto some abuse in the park without delaming or any of the bullshit that comes along with invaders...thanks for the post tho
 
The condition doesn't really matter, you are trying to sell last year's equipment, USED, for the same price as this year's is new. Don't get me wrong, I hope you get a buyer, but I just don't think anyone would pay that.

an average kid on here might not be willing to pay that, but someone who has the money and is looking for something unique and very rare like this would. i don't think these are intended for someone trying to just pick up a cheap park ski, they are for someone that finds the fact that they are protos and 'one-of-a kind' appealing. so i don't know if comparing them just to the price of this years is a fair comparison. i mean, on one hand yes this years are new and can be found cheaper, but on the other, you can find this years everywhere... and where can you find another pair of these?
 
yeah its true they might be "one of a kind" and they are worth whatever someone is willing to buy them for. however im pretty sure he picked them up on ebay for less than 300 and invaders on ebay get quite a few bids, they still sell for cheap but it shows that people are constantly running searches for them and there is a high level of interest. meaning even if he listed them outside of ns he would likely have trouble getting that price for them. the only "rare" items i have seen people make money off of have been oakley jerseys. i remember around this time last year one of the members was trying to sell a super rare oakley buckshot 1 piece and couldnt get anyone to bite at a measly $125. and the kid trying to sell the proto pipe cleaners and cant get 400 for them.

EVERYONE AND I MEAN EVERYONE HAS ALWAYS COMPLAINED ABOUT HOW BADASS THE INVADERS ARE MINUS THE FACT THAT THEY ARE MADE SHITTY AND ARE BASICALLY A THROWAWAY SKI BECASUE THEY BREAK LIKE NOTHING.

I AM GIVING SOMEONE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET A PAIR WITH A SUPER DURABLE CONSTRUCTION AND TOPSHEET. THEY ARE UMOUNTED AND LOOK BRAND NEW. You can keep talking your shit all you want go buy a pair of invaders for $150 somewhere else ...and then buy another pair next season when they are toast.

Im gonna reapproach this whole situation.

If someone on this site is ballin as fuck like myself and would like a dope ass pair of skis with a one of a kind and fly ass graffic then hit me up. 12 year olds need not apply.
 
all this arguing is completely pointless. rollindeep you need to chill. bump your thread and if someone wants them they will make an offer. if you are getting lowballed, then thats your problem, not the people lowballing you. i bid before you had that auction ended early, and i dunno what kind of deal you got, but if you are expecting to make money and getting pissed that you're not is kinda crazy. new invaders cost 190 now. why in gods name would i pay more for boring looking prototypes? i'd say that the 150 offers are just fine. by the way, do you even have them yet? you're still using the ebay pics and ripping into some kid for saying how they might be abused.
 
Didn't you buy these with the intent to just resell them for more? The bidding just ended a few days ago didn't it?
 
OOHHH!!! Fool got worked for tryin to flip ebay shit on NS for a profit. If he tried this shit on TGR he'd get raped.

And if nobody else recalls maybe I'll have to go look up some spring '05 threads about this but if I'm not mistaken this is probably the only pair of these protos left because ALL of the other ones delaminated already.

My Rep was so hesitant to let us ski his in spring '05 cuz they were all falling appart. I skied them though and the Canadian pairs definitely skied way better than the newer ones but they were'nt any more durable.

i can testify that he's not trying to flip these for profit. he got a trade offer on those 180 butters he mentioned. since he wanted those butters for a long time and they come with bindings (while he doesn't have bindings for the invaders), he wants to take up on that offer. he definitely paid a considerable amount for these skis, which is why the seller was actually willing to end the auction early for him.

ok all i have to say is this is pretty dumb, if you are honestly buying these to ski them, you are dumb.

Would you go out and buy the very first Ford Model T, and then crash it into a tree just for fun. No you would cherish it and show it off.

You arent buying skis to kill, you are buying skis to show, impress, and to display. These skis are history, yo uare paying for that, not for just regular invaders, they cant be compared

ehhh i think rollindeep is legit. hes always got dope shit to hook up, oftentimes in quantity. he hooks up more newschoolers with sick gear than pretty much anyone so if one item is "overpriced" i dont think its a big deal. its not like youre gonna find these skis elsewhere anyway... its all about supply and demand, fools. bump for rollindeep
 
Just asking, how do you know they have a super durable topsheet? You bought them off of e-bay and you've probably never used them, how would you know how they compare to the other invaders out there?

just because they have a special nylon topsheet doesnt mean they wont delam... do you offer a warranty on these since you claime they are more durable than regular invaders? Im sure if bought these and delammed them, line wouldnt warranty them bc theyre prototypes, so will you warranty them?
