I

Last April, after 2 years of 100s of dislocations, I had a Bankart repair done arthroscopically. It was terrible, definitely the most intense pain I have ever felt. I stayed in my sling for 10 weeks, then waited until October before starting to do any sort of activity that could jepordize the integrity of my new shoulder. Everything was going well, I was slaying physio and had even fallen with my arm outstretched, but the shoulder held up perfectly. Then came December 31st 2009, I was cruising through some trees, fell into an unmarked mine shaft, and popped the fucker out again, back to square one. I now have to ski in a sling, which isn't really slowing me down, I can still shred decently hard, but sucks if I'm skiing super tight trees or hiking or anything. My surgeon says that I'm fucked for life and will have to get a shoulder replacement when I'm 25-30.

I'm just thankful to not be dead at the bottom of a mine shaft, be paralysed, or have a leg/knee injury to prevent me from skiing.

blump, and dude that sucks. Ive hurt both mine and im just like wondering what i should do with it. And im like curious on what the pros do with this kind of injury because it can really be a mindfuck and hold you back

I'm wondering the same thing.

Mines not a shoulder injury but I have a torn ligament in my thumb and I still ski once to twice a week. It's not too bad. Unless I land on it.

i remember watching nimbus or something last year and mahre popped his back in on-screen like a beast.

At Red Mountain B.C., one of the mountains that the ski hill is on used to aave a huge gold mine so there all an abundance of mineshafts, they are usually roped off though.

To the OP or anyone who has questions about dislocated shoulders or bankart repairs, feel free to ask me! dont be shy.

Had shoulder surgery at the end of last April. That shit was NOT fun, and I didn't have a left arm for the better part of half a year.
