Pro's Spinning Unnatural

Yes. Most pros can do tricks multiple directions. Theres videos of wammy tamnutz doing all 4 dub 10s, and all 8 switchup/2 out combos. If you watch any major pipe/slope comp you will notice that it is pretty much mandatory to spin left, right, and fakie to do well.

Your poor spelling of "you're" is ironic....i will give you the benefit of the doubt on the auto-correct for the "and" though

it was an insanely stupid comment. how can anyone not know about the blender? it's like not knowing what a mute grab is.

Its called blender, like sw 7 blender. People used to do it alot more back in the day.

the reason he's giving you a hard time is because "the blender" is not cool. not at all. it's sketchy. the correct and smooth way to do tricks is to look over the shoulder you're spinning, that is why you rarely see the blender done.

The fuck? Why you so butthurt you didn't even create this thread?
And funny you call me a noob, I have been on this site a full 6 years longer than you. Not to mention I actually answered the OP with my knowledge about skiing. So yeah, go ahead and punch yourself in the nuts.

Kindly direct me to a post in this thread that led you to discern that I don't know what a blender is. I think you quoted the wrong post buddy. Either way I really don't know what you're getting so worked up about in the first place.

yes blenders are whack. it normally means they can't do it the proper way so they do it that way.

from chug himself...

Jordan Bergeson still doing blenders?? hahah

Ian K Cosco I brought the blenders back haha... 3 years without but the max hill got me

He did it as a joke. He used to be notorious for them.

Kind of like the whole shuffle thing that everyones all about lately. They are mostly done by accident but some people think it looks sick.

'blender' is a retarded name for that. if anything, it's switch backside. and it looks pretty bad most of the time, sometimes it looks sick. blender though, really?

it is defianetly summer on ns now...

but most pros now a days can spin almost any way, its not uncommon for people to have all 4 9's or 10's, its getting even gnarlier now though with pros doing dubbs both ways

and blenders look fucking retarded im sorry... kid at my mountian used to do them all the time cause he didnt know how to look over his left shoulder going switch, thought he was the shit because he could do switch tricks, pissed me off so now i hate them, end rant....

switch backside? the fuck are you taling about?

It's a blender. has been since day one, clearly long before you had any idea. stop with that bullshit.

should we go change the names of rodeo, and bio, and mute grabs because you think they don't make sense?

And no, they don't ever look good, they are wild, blind, and mostly out of control. As I said before, people do them because they can't do it the right way.

in the few times ive ever heard this "trick" referred to by name since 2001, it's just been called switch backside, because it's the most logical thing to call it. youre taking off switch, and spinning away from where youre looking..

rather than making up stupid names for tricks that are hardly tricks, it makes more sense to just call it what it is.

i dont really know what point you thought you were making with rodeos and bios etc..those are actual tricks with real, long lasting names.. the "blender" is a stupid name given to a stupid trick. it's like calling a sw double cork 12 a temporary tornado, it's a stupid name with no real rhyme or reason to it when you can just call the trick what it is

and i said it ALMOST always looks bad cause ive seen candide do some sick ones

tell you what, if it makes you feel better, why don't we just not call them anything and not do them either

just because you haven't heard it doesn't mean it hasn't been set long before you knew what the fuck it was. and clearly, that is the case.

The point is, why change names for something because you haven't heard of it, or don't like it? Rodeo, bio, mute, etc are all names that have been here longer than you. Same with blender. Not sure why that was so hard to connect.

They are called blenders, and we will keep calling them that. And people can do whatever the fuck they want, let people be whack if they want too.

haha i havent heard it cause it's a stupid name used by a small number of stupid people to refer to a stupid trick

i already explained why your rodeo example makes no sense. people didnt call it a blender in 2000..at all..so once again your reference to rodeos etc makes no sense

and i have no idea what you mean here. you were the one saying they categorically suck while i said they only usually do. not sure where i expressed that i give a shit whether people do them or not

you need a juice box and a nap. afterwards tell your friends to stop calling tricks stupid made up names

here is where you failed. hard.

People DID call them blenders in 2000. Period. People have called them that all along. Just because you didn't know doesn't mean shit.

and you didn't explain shit.

ive been skiing and posting on this site since 2000, ive never once heard that called a blender in real life or on here and it's been discussed TONS of times, back in the day it came up a lot for whatever reason. i guess i'll take your word for it that someone called it a blender in 2000 or before, but even if that's true it's a stupid name without much of a following, and zero reason to use over a term that actually makes sense and doesnt arbitrarily pick some dumb name to use. it's like calling a dub cork 12 a dj flip or whatever dumb name olsson thought up for that one. just because a small handful of people call a trick something doesnt mean it's the name or that it makes sense

and i explained plenty, i dont know why you'd ruin your post that actually made good points with your angry little "you didnt explain shit!" at the end when i clearly did..

Your "backside" trick name was probably used less than blender has ever been used, you have to realize more people than just you and your friends exist in the ski community.

it's never come up with me and my friends, im not judging by that, im judging by never hearing it in 11 years on here or on the hill or anything. i dont really care and it's obviously a silly inconsequential argument, but im just saying there's no need for more silly trick names when there's already a way to describe what's being done
