I donthave numbers on Tanner, but I do know that Candide's contract with Salomon was for $80,000US per year from them. He also has a cash contract with Quicksilver, the amount I do not know.

I would assume that Tanner gets between $50,000 and $75,000 a year from Oakley, plus prize winnings and prize purse matching in his contracts with Oakley, Red Bull, and Armada. In total, he probably made around $150-$200,000 last season.

i dont think that they are making 200,000+. if you are making 100,000 a year you are doing good and if its form skiing its even better. id me happy making minimum wage skiing. it doesnt really matter that much just as long as ur out there skiing

 
i dont think that all there trips are free cus seth morrison said in an intervue that he would only end up makin a few grand at the end of the year after paying for all his heli skiing

 
Other than the big names not a whole lot b/c their always bunkin up like 5+ in a house or condo at a time. They get free stuff from sponsors but they often have jobs besides to support themselves esspecially if they get injured

Yeah it's definately not that much. Id say about 100 thou a year no more. Sure they get free shit and advertising and all but lets face it our sport isnt popular enough yet. DO you think professional mountain bikers are making 6 figs? doubt it

 
there are about 10 pros that make a lot of money. As for the rest... well they get to ski all year so I have no sympathy

yea they dont need to make cash they get everything through sponsors and shit....they dont pay for they trips to ak and other places....but im bettin tanner makes like 250 or so

 
ok they have to pay for room and board, and FOOD. sweet they get clothes and skis and lift tickets from sponsers. thats about it maybe a small lil paycheck every once and awhile only if they are in pictures and cops though really. most pros unless they are huge do have other jobs, look at sushi village in whistler i know a pro skier who works there and a pro snowboarder, and another pro snowboarder whos a pizza delievery guy, aside from coaching at summer camps

Candide made 150 thousand us a year, i know this becasue the former world team manager of dynastar was my mogul coach for 2 years and my team manager for 1 year he told me the exact figure 3 days after it happend, dynastar had the money to keep him but cedric felt that candide was only skiing now for the money not for the love of it, now candide is proably making around 200 to 300 thousand euros a year + his travel money + matched winnings + the buget for his movies. Tanner proably maeks around 100 to 200 us a year and jon i have no idea about, CAndide makes by far the most becasue in europe he is a demi god of skiing he is on the same level's as herman meire.

not that many sponsors double or even match a comp $ winnings. Sometime they are lucky to even get a a percentage of it.

I know for a fact that TJ and Grete got nothing from Armada when they won the Open.

 
they make plenty...from sponsers, comps, and apparel and skis and trips and skiing in general is free...there comfortable, and ski for a living, with a nice cash stash

most pros, the ones that arent in the top 10 (meaning tanner, cr, seth, candide, ect) probably make 30-50g a year. Their clothes, skis, fair bit of travel, perhaps lodging if sponsored by the resort is payed for. All they ahve to buy is food, ganja and alcohol. So they live for free and ski all year, but dont make any money

so, oakley is a huge company, and tanner is most likely there best known athlete, u think they only give him 100 large? prolly not, especially with his rap sheet and credibility, and his consistency. hes gotta be bringin it in.

 
i blazed chronic with tanner a bunch of times this summer. he said that at this point he doest even know exactly how much he makes although he said it was definately over two million last year.

 
I have an inside source telling me that Tanner is making at least 6 million a year. Maybe as much as 39 million. I heard he makes like six str8 up, and 39 if he wins every comp. He makes at least 14 million from Oakley alone.

That is bullshit, Tanner Hall banks about 100k to 200k a year. He make a little more off of some of his investments, but I doubt that because he doesnt invest shit.

As far as ski racers, they make the big bucks. the top downhill racers have multimillion contracts with ski companies. That is where the money is bitches.

I don't know about 39 mill, but I bet the top pros make more than 200-300 g's...do you realize how little that is for a pro athlete that has a company like oakley using them in advertisements? Oakley had revenues of 521 million in 03 and turned a pretax profit of just over 58 million. Money paid to Tanner can be expensed and help reduce the 20.8 million they paid in taxes. I bet he gets some nice ching from them after doing all their ads and shit
