Pros and their Pro models

It seems to me that a lot of pros have thier name on a ski that they aren't really suited to use. Exampe: The Armada Ant, does Anthony Boronowski really charge bigger steeper lines than Jp Auclair does in Alaska? Why doesn't Jp have the big mountain ski and Ant have the bc jib ski? Same with Vinny Dorian, i always thought of him as a park and bc booter guy. Not a big mountain skier.

#1.) I didn't say all.

#2.) I'm not making a declarative statement backed up with evidence. Im voicing a perception. You don't need to back a whim with research. And im not saying Ant doesn't rip, because he does. But i haven't seen him doing any lines like those JP did in Alaska.

they make skis like that so kids will be like "hey jp skis on these so they must be great...ill buy them" even if the guy doenst use them at all ..it makes the kid feel good that he has somthing in common with a pro

and also would u rather use the genaric ski that no one on the team uses or the ski that the best on the team "uses" b/c he wouldnt put his name behind it if it blew

i think the market for jp's and ants are extremely limited seing as jp's are 188 and ants are 191, i really dont think they were a marketing scheme

no, its just that they aren't targeted towards park rats. all of the badass rippers that kill the pow like longer skis that are in this range

no, hes hardly ever on PE's. Most of the time i see him on seths or made'ns. But probably his pro model most of the time.

pro model skis are a marketing tool. They will use whatever ski the company makes that is best suited to what they are doing.
