Pros and helmets

Ya im thinking I should replace my helmet but the 'crash replacement program' only brings the cost of a a replacement to $80 (giro 9). I could get a new Bad lietenit for that. Rex... how often do you replace helmets after crashes if there is no cracks that are visible ?

yeah it could be my helmet, I'll probably get a better one next season- right now I' have a cracked giro 9 with all the vent plugs missing and one of the earflaps missing... haha I am such a douche I lose everything. But I still think there's nothing better than just wearing a nice cozy beanie.

I actually don't really replace my helmets, the beauty of my 'W' Helmet is that it's made with Zorbium foam which is a multi impact reboundable foam. Most helmets once they've taken one good hit they're no good anymore. In theory you should be replacing your helmet after everytime that you hit it. the Zorbium foam rebounds after an impact and maintains the same integrity as it had before the impact. So in short, save yourself the trouble of worrying about it, and buy a 'W' helmet.

thisangelicrage, the helmet strap thing is kinda like clostrophobia (sp?) i get it too whenever i have to wear a helmet for something i cant buckle the strap because i feel like im choking.

i was going to go for a quad daffy but i was like, why huck? -mommy
 
yeah I get it not just with helps, with shirts with tight necks, necklaces that are tight, some neckwarmers and scarves.

ya same here it hurts to fall on ur head with a helmet but with out one is even worse exoesaly wen there really bad

i wore a helmet when i raced. cause i had to, mines but uggly.. but it fits realy fine. and after awhilw i never noted it.. it save my ass once. from a chaie hittin me in teh head. left a nice crack on my hlemet... my only prob it is a challange for me to look backwards for fakie.. but other than that it was nice. i might get a new one. soon.. its choice.. if it came down that all park riders had to wear a helmet or the parks woudl be gone. i think everybody woudl get one..... and rexx. you and idol for all of us over 6 foot 200 pound guys.. thank you and keep shredding the nar nar.....

my racing buddy hit his helmet soo hard on a gate he had slivers of gate in his helmet. and parts where literally bubbling. it was weird.

i love my helmut. It saved me from many concussions.

not really a total newbie, but i lost all my posts, and ya, I left newschoolers for a while
 
i'm really used to mine, so theres no reason to not wear one.

plus they give u a sense of security

on a side note, rex is a very good role model huh?

I know someone who hit a tree and the helmet actually broke in half. He wasn't really going that fast, he was just skiing on the side of the trail, outside where the cat grooms.
