Pro's and BC retirement?

So it seems to me that once a pro reachs the peak of his carrier and is regonized as one of the best athletes in our sport, that he is rewarded and gets to ski BC pow all the time. Sort of like when you retire from a big company you are given a gold watch. Looking at some of our top pros now, most of the bigger names are starting to just slay BC instead of the comp scene. Maybe retirement is the wrong word, but personally i think that it awesome that after all that hard work getting to the top, you have a dope ass reward. Do you agree?

I think your looking at it wrong, it is in no way a retirement, its just more fun, so when they get the chance they start doing it. I think thats really all there is to it. Plus BC stuff looks way better on film. So they are incouraged to do it so all you will buy fat skis.

maybe because its pretty hard to get recognized as a big mtn skier. they started as a park skier, then got picked up, then moved over to some pow shit cause its fun and they want to do more than just park.

i guess they dont worry about money as much and hyphy thier names in contests... to me that would be the ultimate goal, paid to ski pow.
