Props to Stowe...

it seems like theres still plenty of snow in tyro to make some changes for the last few weeks (or hopefully month)

went up to stowe today and the parks are FUCKED...they have to redo pretty much all the features if the parks are to be hittable again this season...today none of the parks were open because it was pretty much a sheet of ice, hopefully theyll be able to get out and grind stuff up

I think they should move the big cannon rail to the hip and set it up to have a really big gap to legit landing.. that rail is so fun but it's set up so poorly, the flattest landing.

Withe the temps warm the snow super saturated and mushy, it's like riding a 10 speed on the beach, and now that locked up, working on thangs... just always a tough time of the season...believe me we do try to get it as good as we can... spring came waaaay to early this season!

i'll put in a suggestion again.....
1. Make north slope jumps smaller/clearable in slushy conditions, while plowing tyro down to two big jumps, one being a step-up/over, and one similar to the first jump now. But bigger than they have been all season. THe pitch of tyro makes this plausible in my eyes.
OR
2. Keep North Slope as is, really poppy, and plow all the features and tyro, and take every single rail you got laying around and turn it into a rail run.

The big issue for me right now is that the "medium" park contains jumps that are more poppy than tyro has been all season. I know the decks were bigger in tyro at the beginning of the season, but at this point, this is not the case. if stowe is going to have a big park, make it big.

I like your suggestions, but I think North Slope should stay how it is for as long as they can maintain it that way. People complain about the 2nd jump but its really fun, just can be slightly painful if you go too big. what about plowing tyro into one big stepover and then just a bunch of rails. Combo of your two suggestions?

yeah that would be ill.
one big-ass stepover that fills across the whole trail where it was last year would be ill. Then rails at the top maybe?
you could probably push out a nice, floaty 50 foot stepover......jus sayin

and the only issue i have with north is being able to clear jumps when its all slushbucket out.

anyone know what it's going to be like this weekend have the sorted the parks out? did they get rain or snow up there this week?

like i said i was up yesterday and it wasnt just icy...it was a SHEET OF ICE...unless im wrong there gonna have to rebuild the jumps anyways...i like wills first idea

They groomed everything out really well so it's pretty much back to how it was before the crap weather. Jumps in Tyro seem to have shrunk a little more though. It was actually perfect park riding conditions this morning

tyro jumps are getting pretty weird, North slope is still pretty on, the 2nd jump is very hard to overshoot no matter how fast you go

don't know if there's time, but one big step over and mad rails (or even the same rails, just the big cannon, rainbow and flat rail redone and put on the jump decks?) sounds like a pretty awesome way to use the snow that's left on tyro. Since the jumps are getting smaller and smaller, why not just combine the snow?

ok re-adjusting my input after my dreams for rail heaven in tyro were dashed by the gypsies...

it would be SO SO SO awesome if the big cannon was moved to the deck of the first or second jump (pretty close) so that it would have plenty of room for setup and a full landing.

I know there's a ton of stuff going on right now and not much time for the park to be open but it would be magical to have that.

Rumors are they're plowing 2 new jumps... However I skied this morning and all the had changed was the first jump is now the cannon, and the second jump no longer has a lip on it.

north was still really sick on saturday, plenty of speed to be had for the jumps very surprisngly. heard tyro is done, bummer, but not surprised

the 3-pack is still hitable, trails in rough shape, stashes in woods up high are still fun but semi sketchy

anybody go today? they claimed that they groomed north slope but yesterday it was roped off even though they claimed they had groomed it. it was still hittable but pretty haggard, we shall see what they do the next two days, i duno if they can even make it to sunday

yea, i went today. it was terrible....the effort it took to water-ski down to north slope was not worth it. no boxes/rails, they still have that little 3 pack up but its terrible, they all melted way too small to even have fun on and the in-runs and lips are soo shitty. stowe's done :(
now someone just needs to have a rail jam this weekend somewhere..
