Props to Stowe...

i say make all the jumps bigger...tyro ones could be boosted to 50-60 feet and North slope to some 35-40s...i realy like the layout of northslope as its been...damn fine flow

WOW. big improvement. thanks for the tyro groom. jumps were on point. even north was notably better.

site says north is closed for regrooming and shaping....please dont make stuff smaller or take a jump out?

No no no, I'm pushing things up, all that snow messed up the takeoff angles and filled in between the jumps shrinking them, plus I want to make it thru spring. I'm not taking out any jumps either but I also moved some rails around too so it should make things a little more fun for you all. Enjoy!

sick thanks for hooking it up brotha!!! pretty pumped for some sunshine spring park action..

hopefully we get some march dump first tho

bottom of rail garden below pipe is up-flat & up corrugated on a mound. There is something off to the side but am spacing now. North slope wasn't done when i was there yesterday but looks like the rails up top are changing, and still had the three jump line

Does anyone hit the hip straight up? After the 2nd jump i'm usually dumping a lil speed to hit the hip but if i didn't...

i've seen the hip hit straight on, its sketchy but doable. new rail set up in n slop arrreee

flat box mellow rainbow at the top, trap, flat rail and down rail set up urban at the bottom

There was a solid two weeks where we hit it straight on every run. Mostly straight airs, a few threes, a back, and a front (not myself). It was awesome, but they messed with the lip a little so you feel like you hit a wall right as your sent in the air, still very clearable though. On a fast day just send it, no speed checks....it is way better to take er deep

I've always hit the hip straight on but as of lately the landing has gotten too mellow, i've been killin myself on landings.

First jump in tyro is pretty dope. They were completely taking down the jumps on northslope and rebuilding them, and pushing snow up to make the jump bigger and landings steeper. They made the down box into a flat took out the down rail and put in the rainbow. Then moved that down rail to where the railbow was a flat.

A few changes...

Plus all the jumps were rebuilt, takeoffs and landings!

Loved all the rails, especially that up flat. Jumps are just slightly too quarter pipey though in north slope. The knees are definitely hurting today. I iam also a little frightened for that second jump, your gonna go straight up

Northslope jumps are amazing. Easily the best jumps Stowe has built to date. They boost you so high up. Absolutely perfect in my mind.

Agreed, new north slope jumps are rediculous. So fun. I heard a lot of snowboarders complaining, just hoping they dont cut down the take offs at all. Couldnt be better!

agreed jumps are so sick hope they dont change them if snow boarders are complaining that would suck, im heading up there right now so stoked on this sun should be a good day

holy shit i take back anything i said about them having to much pop. They are AMAZING, sooo fun. That second jump is prob the most fun jump ive ever hit

i have thought about this so much, but stowe doesn't really have any beginner trails on Mansfield. But it would be so sick to hit box after rail and such all the way down toll road

Stowe's park is so much fun this year. The big park flows nicely and the jumps in the medium park boost you!

or they could do it on one of those pointless trails to skiers left off of gondolier (or make gondolier the park since it is pretty much perfect and gets way more sun)

im really diggin tyro, although something seems weird about the second jump, and the hip landing is absolutely deadly, but thats easily manageable. the flat rail at the end so so fucking nice! north slopes looking good, although im guessing speed is going to play a factor this weekend. all in all good work so far!

Gotta tell you the hip landing is not easy to manage otherwise we would have it dialed, hip landings are notoriously hard to keep a good landing angle.

word bad phrasing i meant it in the way that for the skiers it can be managed easily by gapping over it or otherwise landing safely

tyro is garbage. i'm sorry, but it is. Jumps have gotten very small. I say push the first two jumps into one, and then push the hip, stepdown, and rainbow into a stepover, like the one last year, just bigger.
at least i think that is what should be done.

I doubt this late in the game it would make any sense for Kurt to push anything around and rebuild the park.
Are they even planing on being open much later?

tyro sucks dick right meow, north is pretty damn fun tho
i think we should just push all of tyro into a big ole step over and then just make a rail park, less to maintain and way more fun

mogul in runs and out runs not so fun in tyro.... hip could be pretty sick but the landing is crazy bumpy can it be raked at all or smoothed out? i guess at this point not too much work is gonna go into the park. north slope and pipe/jib yard are fun. speed can be an issue
