Not sure why anyone could hate on their park right now, other then the retarded DdD rail and the silly trap rail.

The Stowe box is SUPER nice, and the jumps are some of the nicest I have hit on the east, super poppy lips to long safe landings.

Tyro looks like it's gonna be ready for today/tomorrow, and HOLY SHIT, everyone is gonna wanna check it out.
 
i dont think anybody has hated on it...kurt did an awesome job with north slope and i cant wait to shred tyro...its actually probably gonna be pretty scary hahh
 
When I read this thread, I was bummin' at my choice to get the Triple Major this year. But I won't be regretting it later in the season, thats for sure!

Bolton's park can hold me over. I just hope they have a jump.
 
When I saw the picture of Bolton's "urban down rail" I wanted to kick someone in the nuts. I seriously hope they devote some time to their park this season haha.

And yeh Tyro is gonna be super scary in such a good way. Kurt you keep one upping yourself with everything you build haha and we all love it.
 
tyro park will be

large cannon -> jump (prolly 40-45) -> jump (prolly 50ish... it was fucking huge a few days ago but i believe it was toned down) -> sweet big hip -> step down similar to the one they usually build at that spot but a bit bigger than previous years -> big rainbow rail -> 40 foot flat rail -> dance floor set up real tall so you have to step up onto it.
 
soo this is accurate for the most part, however, size is a little off. its like 35 foot table, 45 max for the second, huge hip, the stepdown is much much smaller than it was last year, still fun though.

on the real, though, park is soooo much better than last year. good flow, really fun just to truck through the whole thing.

yeah im not suprised the sizes were off i didn't actually see the finished product until today, only when we were setting the rails so the lips definately got changed. Also i wasn't at stowe last year so i was comparing the step down to like 3 years ago (the last year tyro was up before they tried to put shit on spruce.)
 
I want pictures. What happened to the updates on the front page? Haven't seen one since they were building tyro last year.

FYI Jumps are measured from the lip to about 4-5-6 feet below the knuckle after the deck, so when a jump is 55ish yes the deck may only feel 48ish depending on how rounded the knuckle is.

the cannon rail look so small in the picture, ITS HUGE irl.

Stowe is legit this season. Tyro is pretty serious, the jumps are super poppy and big. Flat rail is a little awkward cause if you go fast you gap to flat landing but if you go slow you basically stop on it. The cannon is way gnarly, didn't realize there was another bigger one. North slope is so dope. The jumps are the prefect size just to rip through. Over all great job this year.
 
tyro is really fun just to fly through and hit everything, the rainbow is steep as fuck though, but overall its a really fun park, that into north slope is a really fun run that im fine with skiing over and over

first couple laps thru tyro had a little pucker factor but lovin it, awsome work! is the pipe and rail garden coming soon?
 
I think tyro is a little funky i probably just need to get used to it and the 40ft flat bar is so fun and north slope is one of the best parks i've ever skied so well built
 
Everything is really sick. Only two comments are the cannon should be set up with more of a step over landing instead of a straight drop off, and the second jump in tyro needs longer tranny, its kind of abrupt. other than that, really sick. feeling tyro so much more this year.
 
I agree with Matt, have not hit it myself yet, but everyone says the landing on the cannon can be abrupt if you take it to quick.

A nice roll over landing would be pretty dope and shouldn't affect going into the first jump, would also make the cannon much more trickable.
 
Man I am excited to get back to school. That stuff looks BIG. I'm used to good ole Southington haha. It's gonna be a big change hitting tyro.
 
I forgot to say I'll let you guys get the paint off that cannon, the little one was not friendly to me opening day. I think I was one of the first to hit it and got all caught up and tossed.
 
Ive hit the park for the past few days, it is super fun. The canon slides really smooth and the first jump is 45ft, legit straight from the ski patrols mouth.
 
yea, im lovin everything except for the second jump in tryo. too quick a tranni into a jump thats too poppy with a landing thats too short. Otherwise I would say everything is spot on.

there could be a pimp, huge step over jump where the rainbow rail is, just saying..........
 
i was loving both jumps yesterday, super fun, i thought the second was pretty good you can kinda take it deep but i duno just depends on ur speed i guess. mlk = joey fest
 
OMG all the parks were prime todayyy...i was fuckin LOVING IT!!! I skied for 6 hours straight and just lapped park all dayyy....The little rail garden was super soft...Tyro was fuckin sickkk...The cannon was madd good to start but then i fucked up going for frontside 2...my legs split and i got 3 inches from nuttage...right on the inside thigh and knee...i got flipped upside down right near the end and did a unintentional lincoln off and landed on my knees and skidded it...soooo fuckin lucky...i got down some new tricks today...360 Double Blunt Mute, Cork 5's and cork 7's, and also knuckle hand drags...;legit dooope daypropskinda an rant hahahaha
