Ok, I have a proposal for NS:

I think that its great we recognize all the deaths to skiers all around by making their pictures top rated. I think that these pictures are better then top rated though and should have a special category. I think we should have a RIP section or something along those things. In this section, there will be a picture of the skier, there name, birthday-day they passed away, and general info. I think we could get someone that knows them well to do a little write up for them too. This section doesn't need to be just legends. If your best friend that you ride with every weekend passes away, i think you should be able to make a write-up and post it. This section would make it more personal then just having a picture. Dont know how this will go but I thought it was worth a try. Also, we could post links to edits that the person has.

I think its a more meaningful tribute that those pictures hold their own in top rated against all the other competition.
 
valid point but sadly the will go away when younger and less educated kids come through and pretty soon the whole top rated will be an rip section anyways so i feel he has a valid point. no disrespect meant at all
 
could make a pic section or just a new spot on the site to make a tribute or sign of respect for the great skiers who passed away?
 
dude this is one of the best ideas ever.

1 it keeps the memory of thoes who pretty much created the sport and shows how dedicated they were and they literally gave every breath to it.

2 it brings the whole community together as a whole. and thats just better for the site and the sport.

3 i think its also helps the progression of the sport for the new members because it gives them an insight to the past and maybe can look up to these fallen heros and be inspired like all the rest of us were.

i think that sums it up.

Bishop you should really get this going. it would be awsome for us and for the friends and family of the ledgends themselves who are shreadin the endless pillows of pow up there.

Yea, even though it is more meaningful to have people rate them and stay on the top rated. The truth is, they most likely won't. I mean look now, hoot brown is already gone. I think we need a RIP section.
