when i was watching the credits and the music was going by a noticed a song by rage against the machine but i havent heard the rage song anywhere in the movie is there some kind of secret?

They messed up with the credits (something I'm getting tired of with ski films). There is no RATM song.

And Democracy does work, compare it to the socialist and communist regimes of the past. The united states has been the world's leading industrial power since the 1870's and the only time a socialist or communist power even came close was when Stalin instituted his five year plans, but the USSR still lagged behind both England and America. Go take a look at Eastern European governments versus the Western model, and prove that the Eastern model is more effective.

ski vid companies can never get the music right....it's either the right band, wrong song, or band/song names switched, or just way off on all accounts

 
on the terms of 'political trashing' bands, i prefere Pennywise............ way better than Rage in my opinion

Yea Pennywise is sweet, been listening to them since the 7th grade. Their political line is more of a anarchist/socialist utopia sort of thing (fyi: not bombs and everyone kill eachother anarchy)

while i dont know very much about Rage i have to agree with Gravtec here. Im not saying rage does or doesnt preach about communism or whatever but yeti just because its JUST MUSIC doesnt make it any better. Its pretty pathetic of any band or person to preach or promote one thing then turn around and do another even if it is JUST MUSIC. Just because its just music doesnt make it any better for them to be hypocritcal id just loose more respect for a band like that. Now jump all over and tear me apart as usual..

first gravteck, learn the difference between socialism and communism because it´s huge and you seem really ignorant when you talk about them as the same ideology. and is not as simple as just comparing the ideolgy and the success at producing at a certain time, there are so many other factors.

second, capitalism creates a more productive society yes, who said anything else? a socialist society however creates a more fair society with welfare for all and rising the average living-standard and that is the point of it, not being as productive as possible.

and how did(do?) rage against the machine not live by what they said?

they organized protests(got aressted), donated money to charity and brought several important political issues to the surface and has helped people and causes in so many ways!

people should not speak of what they do not know.

The major recordings labels create the majority of what you hear on the radio and see on television. I am not saying that it's impossible for there to be altruistic artists who stick to their morals no matter what...but those people you never hear of because they have no fucking money because they are unwilling to take the RIAA's giant dildo up their asses and sign a contract.

It's sad that a simple question about music can turn in to an argument filled with anti-democratic rhetoric and insults being vollied about as if anyone actually gave a shit whether or not a band believes that the mongol extermination is a bad thing. I for one could care less about a band's political agenda as it's not going to have any fucking effect on me, nor is a bands reluctance to give up their fame and fortune to support some stupid cause that will most likely never see victory.

Everyone needs to sit back and just listen to some white noise or something and get their heads out of their asses.

things are not as simple as you think. music doesn´t have to be just music. and ratm made it a political tool and no matter how much you refuse to see that, it is a fact that they did change a lot and 'enlightened' a lot of people.

fakie: I never said the ideology behind the two systems were the same, I was referring to both system's attempt at nationalization and control factor over industry as to bolster industrial output. Yea no shit they're different, the socialist state of today is different from the ones that had risen during the interwar period. There's no point going into detail about it, but I can assure you I'm not ignorant since I aced both my Ap European History and Comparative Gov't and Politics subjects.
