what makes immortal technique more rap than lil wayne? ive seen/heard white girls listen to i.t. too
 
i was saying "white girl music" like meaning its on the radio alot and mtv and shit like that. and the fact that lil wayne doesnt even write his own rhymes makes him, in my opinion, not a rapper.
 
Yo, Lil Wayne may be a shitty rapper but he definitely has flow. He's legit, but he's not a good rapper.

Immortal Technique is a bitch. That guy is such a fake. He doesn't believe in anything he raps about. He doesn't allow cameras or videos into his shows. You think someone trying to spread the word on class equality would be open to the dissemination of his message. He's totally CREAM.
 
reasons why you should hate lil way:

1) his voice sucks

2)his rhymes suck and he doesn't even write them

3)there are plenty more but those 2 are just enough 2 hate him

Dude, he has ghostwriters. This is common knowledge.

Have you heard his freestyles? He doesn't rhyme.

Guy has great flow, it's different, but he can't rhyme. He's not a good freestyler.

I think Weezy has more talent than Immortal Tech though. They're both just culminations of hype and media though.

I completely disagree.

Immortal Technique spent his childhood and young adulthood struggling as a hoodlum. He was involved in gangs, and was so much trouble in highschool, that the parents of an INNER CITY school wanted to kick his ass out. He went to state University, but went to jail because over his life he had acculmulated multiple assault charges from gang fights, and him beating down bitches. He was supposed to get 10 years in prison, but was lucky enough to reduce it to 2, without snitching, and did his bid.

His rap often contain commentaries on racism and the oprression of latin american people. He was originally born in Peru and his family escaped a civil war. This greatly affected him, and his lyrics. He talks about his violence, because instead of expressing it physically, he involves himself in rapping.

He completely turned down every offer from major labels and ran it himself, so he couldn't be censured or taken advantage of. Upon gaining money and success, he spent his winnings on buying his grandmother a house, buying a farm in Peru and employing hundreds of peasants, and improving his recording studio. I would say thats fairly legit.

He continuously talks about the control of the media by higher and corrupt powers, so why is it suprising he doesnt want his content on television or the internet? Sure he makes more money, no suprise there, but he's an underground artist, he controls his own paper.

Not a fake dude. The message is in his rap, thats the way he expresses it.
 
are you 14? seriously though if your older than that and you still think immortal technique is the shit, you should just give up on rap. yes lolipop is a white girl song, but i still would say wayne is far from being a white girl's type of rapper. i dont even like wayne that much, but it pisses me off when people say he sucks becuase white girls like him. i also hate it when people try to seem like legit rap fans because they like an "underground" artist. most of that "underground" shit is so boring, its just a lame beat with some fast psuedo-political lyrics. get some real skills man

haha wow NS, didnt think id start a rap battle but uhh yea, weezy and immortal both suck but i do consider it rapping. notice i dont even come close to labeling it hip hop.

my point was pretty much, i hate weezy but i only listen to him when i ski for the same reason michael phelps does.. plus i thought it was hilarious when they asked him on the news what he listened to before every race and he said weezy. if you take this thread seriously, i dont take you seriously
 
EDIT FACT: Phelps listens to Rick Ross before he swims.
he may also bump weezy, but The Boss is still his forte'
 
Fact: This guy was the first to realize that Phelps isnt a skier.

Another fact: Weezys lyrics suck and if you disagree with this you're just wrong, but he has a flow and a voice that are unique which in fact make him good (rarely, but hes got some good songs)

hold up. let me get this straight... you think lil wayne sucks because he has made it to the level of mtv and the radio? so i guess this means that any music that hits the big time, has withstood the test of time, been approved by hundreds of people, and is generally liked is shitty music? youre just as bad as any emo kid who only likes bands when theyre "the only one who knows them"

however his new album the third world sucks a fucking dick and makes me not like him anymore

micheal phelps is an amazing athlete who does amazing things when he listens to weezy. may not be lil wayne, but it sure does help
 
Yeah but i ment mostly that he says the same word at the end of like two lines and then its supposed to be a rhyme (not every track and every line but it gets annoying from time to time). But he is fun to listen sometimes though. Also check out Rick Ross ft. Lil Wayne - Shot 2 The Head. Im not sure if he is on the original track but he is in the DJ White Owl remix. Waynes part on that track is probably one of my favorite parts in any rap song because there some meaning in his lyrics and it isnt all about cash, bitches, drugs and such.
 
i like weezey, but i'll admit i was a little dissapointed when i heard he doesnt write his own rhymes.
