Promote Private Galleries

I don't know about you, but when I browse on over to newschoolers.com, I like to go into the photo galleries for a peak at what's going on. When I browse in, I like to see people who are posting art, people posting in the people section, and people posting skiing photos.

What I can't stand seeing, is when people come on here and post their setups. I mean, what is the point? Does it really matter that much what new combo you're wearing this year? Do you really have to post a photo from 6 different angles? The same thing goes for people posting stuff they've got for sale, it gets sooo annoying.

So, is there any way to help with people posting to their private galleries? Can there be some sort of limit to the number of photos people can post to the public gallery each day to encourage them to post to their private gallery?

Most of those kind of pics are for buy/sell threads. Instead of using something like imageshack they use that.
 
he understands that. steve is saying they should post their bullshit in private galleries so it doesn't gunk up the picture forum.
 
I think the problem is that the public gallery is the default. Put the private gallery as default, and if you want it public, you have to change it. That way when people just want to get up pics without thinking, it will go into their private gallery
 
i really think that is a good idea...latleyu i have been posting in private just so people dont make fun of me all the time, and that way i have a better moral
 
SkiPig25 has it right.

It's kind of like Snowboard.com; when you upload a photo it goes into your galley and you check a box if you want it to be posted in the photo section.
 
I haven't figured out an easy way to see my private gallery though besides clicking on my username first.
 
I concur. That shit is irritating as fuck.

When I go to browse recent uploads and there are 12 pictures of an oakley one piece from 12 different angles when everyone and there sister knows what the god damn thing looks like.

Its also irritating to see sale threads with 48 pictures for 3 items.

For pictures in sales, unless its brand new, this should sufice for the sale:

-1 picture for sizing

-1 picture per blemish (tore cuffs, rips, tears, stains, core shots, edge cracks, etc)

*Note still upload em in you private gallery to keep the shit outta the public gallary*

 
Bump on the fact there is a ton of sale gear in there again ( i just look at recently added photos)

NS could pretty much remove the Misc section now that we have private galleries.
 
uh-oh im guilty. but i thought others couldnt see my picture even when i posted it in a thread, which my set up picture was for. next time i will use the private gallery
