Hi. i was just wondering how wide spread and well known this program is. PLTW is a program offered at my school as well as others based on engineering. its really interesting and actually pretty fun. you do technical drawing, CAD stuff, machine programming and as a senior go into the real world and look for problems and we fix them with an invention. well it also happens that im only a sophomore in highschool, yet im already accepted at R.I.T. and have 4 credits there just because of PLTW claim/. this program gets u into pretty much ur choice of college every time. multiple students have even wrote back to the teachers of the program thanking them and complaining on how mad they are that they spend hours on a college application and as soon as the colleges saw the PLTW stamp on the paper and that they already had credits to RIT, they just put it in the accept pile, not even reading it. im just really pumped since i just got the confirmation that im accepted to RIT today and that im getting my 4 credits if i do choose to go there. Is anyone else in this program or even heard about it?
 
i did it for the last 2 years but my teachers were balls so i got A's in the classes but D's on the finals so no college credit. im not doing it this year.
 
i skipped that class like, a couple times a week, got over 100% and didn't learn one thing.
yeah. that's what it's like at our school.
 
we have that program at our school. all the kids are asian. not being racist, its the truth. My school was 98% white for like 60 years and 4 years ago they put that program and a hummanities program, now my school is like 80% white
 
i took that class in high school, i got an easy A i think the program sucks personally. my credits didnt even transfer because its not accepted my most colleges
 
by what im seeing pltw is garbage in most places. my school was the inventer of the program. its a 5 full year corses in 4 years and its really hard. plus the teachers are really good and know exactly what theyre doing. i tried my hardest last year and averaged with a 88. im in the top level science and math classes too. or at the time i was. and we have like 1 asian per class no racism cuz theyre really smart. for our school its a college level corse.
 
BY far the stupidest thing everrrrrrrrr.....i had a science class that was PLTW and it was terrible very confusing and to much busy work i think it should be thrown in the garbage and stick to regular school...the class i took was so poorly set up i would never recommend it to anyone
