Hey, the photo teacher at my school asked me if I had ever heard of this. The idea of it is basically to take a photo of anything, once per day for a year and it ends up becoming a huge album of your entire year. Its a pretty cool idea that some of you guys would appreciate I feel. I started today and im just gonna use instagram to post them. If your interested post where you are putting them all so we can follow.
 
yes, so many of my friends do this on flickr.

i'll start tomorrow and post here daily for a whole year!

this actually sounds like a good idea, I've seen lots of people doing it on flickr. It would force me to shoot more, something that would be nice because I've been putting photography a little to the side since I started school again.

definitely need to shoot more!
 
IMO but quality > quantity. There are some great 365's out there, some of the self portraits is my mind, but for most it ends up being instagrams/pics of food and their dogs, basically filler.
 
they say it takes 30 days to form a habit, imo doing this (trying to get yourself to take a photo every day) teaches you to look at things with a photographers eye, at least by the end of it.
 
I'm doing a 365 right now. Started on the new year, I'm getting close to 300. It's really hard to keep it original, and I do shoot a fair amount of photos that are filler. It's realllllly hard to actively carry a dslr around everyday and shoot with it when you have other things to do besides shoot pictures. I would say its worth it though, because you can look back and remember every little thing you did. It brings up a Lot of cool memories!
 
Fuck mobile. But yeah I end up shooting a lot of Iffy photos on my iPhone either because I forgot to shoot a picture during the day, or I didn't want to carry around my giant ass camera. I have it on fb so I you wanna take a look pm me.
 
im impressed that you do it with your dslr. I feel like probably 75% of mine will just be iphone shots but it doesnt matter to me. Its more just beingn that type of mindset to get a cool photo each day not necessarily the best picture I could possibly get. Do you have a blog or something that you are posting them too? id love to see it
