Progression Thread

I just learned blunt grabs and Japan grabs yesterday, feels so fucking sick. I can’t spin more than 180 really so I feel good about being able to do something in the air to compensate for that. Progression is progression dude!

One step at a time. Take your time, you'll get there.

okay i got the 3 on the box again and got a clip my homie and i also did a waterfall rail and that’s literally the most happy i’ve felt in like a year or so because i thought i was gonna fuck it up and i was so surprised when i didn’t

First unnatural f2 b2 kfed and backswap today. Shoutout whoever posted the article a couple of days ago been grinding on unnatural stuff. This threads motivates me to learn something new every day.

Yesterday I went and lapped the two rope and had the most progression I’ve had in one day on rails than I’ve ever had in a season it was so weird I was just locked. I learned all four two ons and then super fed, 3 swap and switch two continuing 2 all on a little Cuban. It was the closest I’ve ever had to a euphoric experience in my life

are you sure you didn't accidentally snort coke before? Thats crazy man good on you!

No park due to COVID this season, so trying new tricks in backcountry. Didn't go big but felt less scarier than sending it in the park ! Took 2-3 tries

Sent a backie for I think the first time yesterday. Found a nice steep jump but the way I carved into it kinda corked me a little and the landing had some ruts so didn’t work out. Still cool though considering I’ve never even done one on the tramp as a kid.

Progressed so much this weekend. Learned disaster to switch, hitting rails switch lip, got comfortable with higher rails, hand drag 1s, and land my first 360 today.

i did an absolutely shit 360 today but a 360 nonetheless i’ll attach a video soon

it’s not letting me edit the post so here’s the video separately i kept rotating on the jump so i caught my edges a lot but i accidentally tapped the jump in the air while spinning which looked kinda dope but wasn’t intentional lmao

first blind 2 today. We got snow so we built this janky ass pvc setup with about 8 feet pipe but it was enough!

I did my first 7, but I stalled out around 5 so it looked really bad

You landed correct, so a stall in the rotation makes it even better.

i've learned rails, switch 180s, 360s, almost front 2s this season so far and im going to killington wednesday so hopefully i can get back on tubes and get a front 2 and i plan to throw a 5 because why not it couldnt be that much harder than 3 right?

Do some 180s first, get used to the switch landings, it's really helpful.

yeah i haven’t really ever had the chance to spin on real jumps but i’m completely comfortable doing them top speed off smaller rollers so that’s shouldn’t be an issue

BLIND 2 OUT SQUAD.

hit it on my last attempt last night and since then ive had an erection lasting for more than 4 hours.

Landed my last two switch up to 270 out combos for all eight today (unnat bs f2, unnat bs b2). Gonna try to land some double swaps tomorrow.

This is the only new one for me this season so far. Getting really hard for me to learn new stuff because I’m old as fuck lol

I did a bunch of quadruple daffys today. Not the coolest trick but I'm trying to get to a screamin semen, I kept getting really close but I hit my skis together. Forgot to get a video

Hey y'all, searched for a thread like this but couldn't find one. Every time I learn a new trick I want to post about it because i have 0 friends that care about park skiing, but feel like it would be kinda annoying if I made a new thread every time I slid a new rail or added 180 degrees to a spin. Wanted to make a thread where people can flex the new stuff they've been learning this year!

Yesterday, I was afraid of any kind of rail with a horizontal/elbow kink. Today, I laced a z rail and even managed to get a couple blind 2s out of it. Also slid a honkin rainbow that I was lowkey terrified of rupturing my sack on. It's the t rail at telluride if you know what's good.

Would love to hear from y'all. What new tricks are you hyped on learning recently?

just landed my first nose butter 360

Got my first K-Fed today. Needs some work but it feels so good to have another rail trick besides 2 outs.

I haven't hit jumps in over two years and I sent my first 3 on a legit jump (20 footer). Got my blind 2s back and almost got my first blind 450. I keep bailing at 270 ugh :(

*Getting hard to learn new stuff because you already know everything

damn that was dope

My home mountain finally got the snow to build jumps so I got 3s on lock and sent some 5s. I kept landing a bit shuffled on the 5s but I know it will come around next time

My jump game still be a lot worse than my rail game

Switch 3 yesterday—very stoked. Think I can probably start trying 5s now.

Pardon the very excited friend's commentary (or don't, I think it's great)

Taking off switch is scary tho ngl

Dude that was legit!!!! So clean, looks like you’ve been doing them for years

i’m in the same boat bro, keep grinding. i’m to the point where i can bring it around 85% even when my tips do catch cuz i’ve gotten better about continuing my shoulder and head rotation, but it’s hella frustrating to have the same thing keep happening on repeat

Landed ma first 270 out, got the fronts locked down but blind 2s have been a struggle since I keep hitting my tips on the rail.

Relearned 2 ons after not doing them for a couple years. And then my set up exploded.

here’s footy from a post a made a couple days ago
