Progression....double shifties??

Been a lot of talk lately about people doin' triples and it seems about 50/50 if people are stoked on it or not. Got me thinking about what I might rather see....Has anyone even attempted a double shifty? Is it even possible? You'd need a HUUUGE jump, sure, but someone in the bc could maybe pull it off?

I also saw a video once of Pep accidentally goin 90 and bailing to 270 the other way on a jump...just got me thinking....What would you like to see people try instead??

Check out all the CASG edits on here, Max Hill does shifties all over the fuckin' place.

Yeah, stopping your spin at like 3 and 7 while doing a 10 or somethin would be way more impressive to me than any double i've seen

uhh.....why would you need a big jump to do a "double shifty"?
You've obviously never seen a mogul comp, Aspen Extreme, Hot Dog, Ski Patrol, or any other old school ski movie.

isnt the op talking about double cork shifties? i could be wrong... but i feel like thats why he's trying to say... and if it is... they have been done.

nah i'm not talkin about old school twisters and shit I mean just twisting back and forth. I mean like spinning, stopping the spin with a shifty, whipping it back around spinning some more, stopping it again, and the whipping it back around to finish it off on something big like a 10 or 12. It may have been done a bunch like that too but I dont think i'm completely retarded here...

Ok, I think I understand where you're coming from now...
I think some of Bibby's cork 7 shifties look like dub shifties. Someone even calls them "corkscrews" I'm pretty sure. I'm a big fan fer shuuuuure.

You don't need a big jump to do them... but you need a pretty big jump to make a double shifty (in a spin) look GOOD, even if it's just a 180. Personally I am more interested in using shifties in rail tricks, just think it looks rad.

All the time? Frank Raymond was the first person I saw doing shifty spins onto urban rails, but people have done it forever. In the CASG pippin posted up there there are a whole bunch by Max, the shifty on, shifty 270 off is sick. All the shiftys and taps onto the cannon box are pretty ridiculous also. If you look closely you can even see him do a shifty while buttering. And that, my friends, is taking things to the next stage.

There we go! Ridiculous but ya that's more like what I was trying to say....guess I did a shitty job of explaining it in the original post

for sure its all in that edit above, which was very sick i might add i agree that shifty tricks look the best with rail combo, but i always love a smooth shifty in some spin tricks...

first time i've seen that edit. it f-in killed. super tech stuff. i'll take style like that over hucked rotation anyday

Ppl have been doing double twisters forever but I dont think that's what youre talking about A lot of ppl. can do them but a lot of the ppl doing shifties are the ones who're more concerned with how something looks rather than how technical it is. Guys like Anthony Boronowski Chris Benchettler and Max Hill for example do shifties all the time because they look good for the camera but a double shiftie probably not so much.

I agree, and I like that look. It would still be sick to somehow shifty with a grab. I guess it wouldn't really be a shifty then, but throwing a grab that totally stalls out the rotation. I've seen guys throw lookbacks that are sort of that way, but I'm sure there's something that would look even sicker. Maybe in a flat spin.
