Program that can cut up video clips

I need a program that can cut and delete certain parts of clips. I am using Imagemixer that came with my Handy cam, but it doesnt let you cut up clips, and when u want to delete a clip, you have to delete the whole thing. HELP!
 
well yeah but i can only access the clips on the cam through the imagemixer program.... is there any way that i can access it like in My Computer? It shows up as Unrecognized disc J
 
jea but you can only look at the clips you have through the software that came with it, you can open them in windows movie maker
 
hook up your cam to the comp with the cord you have (probably firewire) then open windows movie maker. Go File>Capture Video Capture the desired footage, then edit/cut, and enjoy.

Now was that so hard?
 
it doesn't sound like this kid is needing that much quality. or wanting to spend that much money for something that sounds like he doesn't need to do very often.

but if you ARE looking to get into video editing. i would recommend a mac. and PM me for an invite into the paple heads cult.
 
yeah i dont need a hardcore program i wanna make a few quick videos, i figured out how to get the clips onto WMM, but i need to cut them not just trim them
