Professional skiing is entertainment media. they do it for your and my own entertainment. WE are the customer, and we drive the product.

Skiing itself is a sport/art form/etc. but if you wanna be paid, you gotta play the money game. too many pros dont understand this simple relationship, and resent the mandatory things that surround being a proffesional.

You produce movie parts for MY entertainment. If you dontt like dealing with my criticism, like EVERY other proffesional athlete ever, dont take the money. Be a soul skier. Do it for yourself, and use it for self expression.

And quite fankly, the amount of criticism you have to put up with is nothing. stop having paper-thin skin.

 
So basically you are saying that any "professional" athlete is basically a dancing monkey here to entertain you ?? Well I would have to agree with you on that one.. Thats basically what being "Pro" at any sport determines.. and yes maybe they should get thicker skin or just not come this site..
 
one of the many, many customers who indirectly pay for pro skiers to ski.

whats the difference between a cirque de soliel performer and a pro skier? not a whole lot other than the discipline they are world class at.
 
I don't think you understand how this works..

No one is making you pay to watch them ski, you that on your own. If you don't like certain styles, brands or images, don't buy that product, and if enough people agree with you and decide not to buy a product, that's critiquing in itself. (Popular demand)

 
i would much rather activly shape the product that i watch. As a customer, i have the right, no, the responsibility to express my opinions about the product that i consume.

how bout these pro's stop having tissue-paper-thin skin?
 
Yes, you do have that right, that doesn't mean they have to listen to you. They're obviously doing something right since they have your business.

Either way, nice troll, I can appreciate that.
 
Pro skiers don't get paid by your sponsors unless your tom walish, Pro skiers get paid by winning competitions. The only thing they get from their sponsors is hard goods and soft goods and trips
