Prodigy 1 or Prodigy 2

This ski will be my teaching ski. I will be teaching beginner and intermedate park classes. I ski 50% park ,25% groomers, 25% "all-mountain". I am 5'9 or 175cm and 125lbs or 56 kgs. My ski for this right now is a ct 2.0. I would get the 2.0 but the new ones are too stiff.

Definitely prodigy 2.0 if you already used to a cat 2.0, but I do have a pair of prodigy 1.0 and it’s nice to have a nimble park ski especially for spins and flips.

I would lean towards the Prodigy 2.0 for more versatility. Even the Prodigy 2.0 is still narrower than your current Candide 2.0 but similar weight and flex. I’d go for the same length that you had Candide if it felt okay.

The Prodigy line has markings at just the “all mountain/traditional” binding mount only now, so you go 3 cm forward for the “Newschool/Candide” mount. The 2021 Candide series just has the Candide mount marked and you move back 1.5cm for “progressive” and 3cm back from Candide for “traditional/all mountain”.

definitely go with the 2.0!

The prodigy 1 is super narrow and rather stiff, so if you liked the candide 2, you'll hate prodigy 1

Go with the longer one, they have plenty of rocker so they feel way shorter. Also they're relatively soft, so the longer ones will be more stable especially when landing not-so-perfectly

I got the Prodigy 2.0 for this season and I'm very happy so far. They are fairly soft and playful in the park but also lay down carves on groomers. 98mm is a super versatile width so I think it would fit your needs

if you don't mind me asking how tall are you and what length did you get.

I'm 5'10" 150lbs and I got the 183. I mounted dead center (which faction doesn't recommend) to manage the length a bit better and make it a more playful ski
