Problems with my GoPro HD...

So I also posted this in the GoPro Cult but figured I would get more responses here...Today was my first day on the mountain with my new GoPro HD. As I was filming, I noticed that whenever I tried to stop the recording, the camera would freeze up. This freezing would either be shown as the red light being illuminated and the screen frozen, or the entire screen would disappear with the exception of the resolution marker. Throughout the day I had to constantly remove and reassemble the battery to get the camera back working. This was very annoying and I am unsure whether there is something wrong with the camera or I am using a wrong type of setting. Maybe the housing isn't correctly hitting the buttons? Also, I seem to see a strange highlighter yellow color forming around my camera. Maybe this is due to internal leaking? Any responses will be very helpful.

When you say you see a highlighter yellow color around the camera, what do you mean? Like the whole camera is turning yellow? The lens? Is stuff leaking out?

No, just like the outside silver has a tint of yellow around the power button, shutter button, and the cracks where the front and back pieces of the camera meet.

ya i think he mentioned that already........

but honestly ns wouldnt know and this seems somewhat seroius. id just call gopro and theyll warranty it. theyre really good with customer service. i had a small crack in the clip for the housing and within 5 days i got a new one in the mail free of charge. you can find their email on their site and theyll get back to you about what they can do about the problem/will ask you for your address to send you a new camera

yea and dont let that little piece of electronics get too cold. keep it close to your heart when you arent filming.

Alright, so I did a test today on whether the camera freezes up only in cold weather or in all conditions. Inside my house, everything worked perfect but when I placed the camera( with the housing) in the freezer to film, it froze up. The cam was not left in the freezer for over 3 min so I realize now that an entire day on the mountain would be shitty. So, the question that comes to mind is that is their a problem with the housing device or the camera itself?

can't help you with the "freezing" but my camera is discolored as well; it looks as if someone drew over some parts with a yellow highlighter

Phone GoPro - they'll probably tell you to return it and they'll replace it - no biggy....

ya definitly, i dont have the hd but mine hasn't been freezing at all due to cold weather or anything else really so far it has been really solid. i think calling them seems like the best option too.

I used my GoPro Hd for one day and it also started to turn yellow. I have contacted GoPro but they have not gotten back to me about it yet. I was wondering if you heard anything yet. Everything else worked fine that day. But now when I record I get a black streak on the lens. I have cleaned the case and the lens but neither seem to help. There are no scratches.

i have the same problem with the "freeze" but mine worked after i took the batterie out and heated it...and i also havent yelllow colour (yet). if someone has the solution please post because i am from europe and not able to contact the company itself.
