well if you ski hard on them and stuff they might not cover the warrenty cuz its not "normal use" you are "abusing" your equipment.. but they might replace them
sounds like a delam, which is covered though. so he should send them in. you are the only person i've heard had any problems, sounds like a defect, send them in and get it replaced, so biggie, all skis have defect ones, no manufacturing is perfect.
alright so i took them in and they said that it was my fault that the inside edges top sheet is falling off. b/c when i spin they touch and scrapes it off. their other reason was that when i landed since the edges were so sharp that they cut through the top sheet from the bottom. so they wouldn't take them back and said that i have to deal with it. im looking for evidence that this is not my fault so i can blame it as a defect and get a new pair of skis. help????
how bad is it? expalin it a bit more. i just started riding my brand new pair, no rails, barely any jumps, and there's def peices of the tippity top textured plastic sheet coming off, but i dont think there's much you can do about that. if it's worse, lets hear it, or maybe some pics
well my top sheet loks like it got fuckin raped with some old guys stick. theres big peices coming off the longer i have it going all along the inside. in some spots the core is peeking through.
i think hartig saw mine....i was at mt snow on sunday....
but my addicts are chipping on the inside eadge as well, but its not a defect
Addicts are the classic sandwhich construction ski, while it perform amazing it wll chip on the inside topsheet when hit with something shapr, hence your edge
happens to all skis, all cosmetic damage
when ur hitting jumps you might have a bad habbit of clicking ur skis together in mid air.......
yup that's just topsheet damage from you hitting your skis together. It's not delaming and their is nothing wrong with the ski structurally. You can bring them into the shop to get those chips repaired with some ptex.
They probably won't warranty something like that, and it happens to most skis. Some people do it worse then others. Watch those landings.
my PE's are like that their chipped every were its not gonna affect the ski maybe if your doing like upside down grinds the chip might slow you down but other than that
mine have a few small chips out of the stopsheet edges, but im def not concerned. that happens to all skis. ive been riding them alot and hitting rails and they are holding up fine so far.
dude if the topsheet comes off that is warranty cuz its a park ski and even if not the sheet is not gonna come of cuz eventually the next layer will come off and finally u got water on ur wooden core..send that shit in and get some new ones..if they dont replace them on warranty they have to give u or old ones back so u dont have anything to lose
Put a small amount of resin over the worst chips to stop them peeling further/keep water from getting into the core. It won't look pretty but it will keep the damage from getting worse. But seriously, fuck man, what'd you do to your skis to get them to peel like that? You must have really banged them together.
mines like even worse. My addicts are begging to hold onto what little topsheet they have. I think its just a sideeffect of having sandwich construction and what not. But seriously the topsheet on addicts are like paper.
