Problemo, pertaining to fks

so before realizing that i had to bend brakes in order to fit my skis, i bought some used fks 120. i really want to use these binders, but i have no vises so i don't think i can do the bending, otherwise i would. is there another method or anything that i can use in place of vices? i have no shop tools, or even many tools that other people may consider common.

i think i may have to sell them and use something else.

you could always bring them to a shop and when they mount them request they bend the brakes, they usually are good at it

pshhhh you dont need to vice! just mount them with the brakes unbent, then bend up after theyre on the ski. cut an old ski pole in half, stick the brake inside, and pull! rebend the brakes however wide you need to! this tried and true process has worked wonders for me for the last 35 pairs of fks bindings ive had. bitchin!

You have to go to a shop to get them mounted anyway so call them up and ask if they'll do it. Otherwise, find someone with a vice but only if you know what you're doing! Last resort, just get your shop to mount them unbent then bend afterwards, that's what the Rossi guys used to do.

I would put a piece of angle iron around the sidewall to get a nice 90deg bend and to protect the ski

If you cant bend them before, have them mounted, then bend them then. Be careful, mine snapped pretty easily. Just bend slow, and you should be fine.

If you cant have them done, and NEED to sell, PM me. Im looking for a second pair as a backup.

Any other questions, PM me, and I'll try to help.
