Yo has anyone ever had issues while ordering from surface? Ordered a pair of analogs from their eu store in mid-September and no sign of a confirmation or anything. Plus money has been taken. All a bit shit :/ plus they're not responding to any emails or anything

happened to me, had doubts myself when i didn't get any shipping confirmation. Company is legit they will come bra.

I'd wait a bit longer, I doubt they have a full staff until the winter really kicks in so that's probably why it's taking a bit longer

Samething is happening to my son, purchased Analog Blanks online back on Oct 20th, no sign of the skis and no one replies to emails and phone call go to voice mailbox that are full. Anyone know anything?

free ski brands can be a bitch to get a hold of but they are solid dudes.... remember utah just got hit they could be skiing

Their website hasn't been updated to 2016/17 product... I'm wondering if they went under...

I wasn't able to buy skis on their site due to security issues with their online store, my laptop wouldn't even let me go to the checkout. I emailed them a month ago about it and no response. You may or may not be screwed.

Yeah, online web stores are no longer carrying their product and their own retail store in Utah does not answer the phone either! Not good!

to be fair their "retail" store in Utah has never answered the phone for me in the past 3 seasons I've had Surface and attempted to reach them, this flakiness isn't new

The more I dig into this the sketchier it looks. Would not recommend buying Surface skis.

just don't buy from surface get em off ebay or on evo gear or amazon I coped lab001's off amizon for 250 new in the plastic this summer and my homie i work with just got 2 pairs on ebay for 4 hunna total

I ordered a pair once and they came with a big kink instead of a smooth transition to rocker.[/QUOTE

that's because you put them on your ski rack and drove into the garage.... then did it again switch

That does seem late but when I ordered from them a couple weeks back they didint send me a shipping email. They just showed up at my house like 5 days later. Give it a couple more days, email them constantly and if still nothing get a refund .

Surface has always seemed kind of sketch to me. I'm not sure why, but its just the feeling i get, the same with joystick even though I've never dealed with them

I dealt with surface back in early October. I sent an email asking if they still had last years model of the outsiders. I got a response back in two days saying they still had a few pairs left.

Then I asked about when their 2016/2017 models were going to be up...and I received no response to that question.

There website has not been updated, and the online store with surface, causwell and joystick is sketchy. There social media is whack. Seems like they ditched it. Not a popular brand to begin with so I would not be surprised if they went under.

Yes...and it looks like someones personal account not a companies imo. I get that it's trying to be hipster but more often than not it just looks unprofessional. At least when compared to others.

I get where you're coming from. Either way, hope they aren't going under. My all time favorite ski company

Surface is legit, but they are very hard to deal with. They never reply to emails.

For anyone reading this and wanting to buy surface, buy from a retailer and not directly from Surface. I bought a pair of Evo a few years ago and they showed up 2-3 days later.

We did get a message today indicating that Causwell will be refunding my son's purchase. The money is not in our account yet but at least things look like they are on the up and up. This was after we contacted VISA and the RCMP who said they were going to conduct a fraud investigation. I think it would be wise to look at other brands of skis as the hassle from Surface is not worth it.

Peculiar that this year's line up is still not up for sale. It seems like they have a decent enough following, I'd be surprised if they went under

posted the link to this thread on their Insta, and I encourage others to do the same because we all know they would never see it if we email it to them.... /s

but seriously I hope they come in and comment to clear everything up, I'm very curious what happened to them

I wouldn't. They've been losing a lot of athletes the past few years. Only person still on the team is Banks? Ive heard they've started to make more durable skis, but in the past they did not so maybe that bad reputation stuck with them and they weren't able to make sales.

They are however still active on the social medias, which is usually a good sign. And for anyone wanting a response I feel like thats the best way to get one.

yup, they just replied to me on Insta

"We are just laying low. All good over here just skiing a bunch."

If their customer service is that bad, why buy from them? There are tons of other companies making great skis that will ship much faster and respond to your emails.

This is not always apparent before a first purchase. Your comment is the equivalent of saying "Why would drive down the road if a car crash was a possibility? You should have taken the bus...".

No one plans to be dicked around by customer service, and if surface had shipped the product, there would have been zero (attempted) interaction with CS...

Hindsight is 20/20, its easy to make play calls from the couch, don't put your dick in crazy, etc.

I should have quoted the posts I was replying too, but I was referring to the people standing up for Surface.

Because I've dealt with their customer service before and they listened to me and sent me a brand new pair of skis within in a week when I warrantied a pair. Their customer service has a pretty good track record of hooking it up and making it right, it just seems like as of late they've fallen asleep behind the wheel.

Come on brah, relax. They are probably skiing and will get to it when the snow is bad. You like the boss who wont give his employees the day off for a pow day.

Ordering skis to ski this winter- don't worry the skis will be there when the snow sucks in spring you're good with that right? Come on dude after the shitshow K2, revision, and now surface have produced in 1 season, I'm ready to see the amount of ski brands shrink to the ones that have quality skis and customer service

If you want to cut out all of the core brands and have only brands whose employees work instead of ski, on a pow day, then so be it.

This is bullshit, there is no reason for a company who sells a relatively expensive product to not be able to at the minimum answer emails. You telling me these "core" guys skis 18 hours a day and don't have internet access? If you treat your customers like shit you don't deserve to be in operation, especially when your customers are part of a relatively small community, i.e. The freeskiing community

Fair enough and well said. I do have to acknowledge to myself, that I've only ever skied on 'bigger companies'' products, and with that havent experienced these things myself. I guess I like the idea of small, core companies, but I do have high expectations of customer service. Well put.
