I was skiing one daya nd then i htought t myself..how much do pro skiers make...like i have no idea..like i think it various about how good u are...but i really dont know...do u?

Yea, that's if they don't win any competitions, they get around 10 million per comp they win on top of the 50 mill. a year.

Skiers like Simon and Tanner pull in a few hundred grand a year due to sponsor endorsements.

i have absolutely no doubt in my mind that you guys are full of shit... that seems like entirely too much cash.

They ski and get paid a decent wage, not as much as most people who come out of college and get a good job though. However, they get all expense paid trips to wherever their sponsors want, and all kinds of other goodies.

they get paid to do what I pay to do. Money is not important, living a rockstar life and being able to ski a lot is.

Tanner + Redbull = $$$

Simon + Target = $$$

Sammy + Nike = $$$

Only a few pros actually make more than 100k a year.

if you think about it though, they get free clothes from thier sponsors, win cars in comps, have all thier trips and lift tickets and gear paid for, so all they have to front is prolly rent and food....i bet they are pretty well off

taner aramada + oakley + giro + redbull + dalbelo+ grenade= shat load of $$$$

jon head + redbull + j linderberg(must of paid him well to make the switch from oakley to jl) + oakley + (burton)RED + jon fucking olson invintational = FUCKING MILLIO GUY

simon redbull,salomon,giro,target,oakley = priceless

yea and I heard that in ski movies they get paid like 10 000$ per second of appearance. That's a mad pay check.

yeah im thinking Jon is pulling in mad money i mean he is basically the king of europe...look at the JOI he treats his guests liek royalty so he MUST be making a shit load of money

That shit would totally ruin skiing for me. When i'm skiing the only thing i'm thinking about is skiing. It would suck to be worrying about how you gotta win that comp to double your yearly salary. Guess i'm just not wired for shit like that.

Tanners gotta be rollin in the duh. He owns part of a production company and a ski company. Plus he has a pro ski out a pro boot plus all his sponsers paying for everything else so he's gotta be loaded

i dunno, but andy makes slightly less then his cousin how works at olive garden, and most pro's don't make alot of money, there sponcers ether pay for flight and travel/food, or just a salary

pretty much depends on how good of business man you are, like tanner who owns a share of a ski company and shit that's how you get tha billz paid.

dude, who cares how much money pro skiers make? think about it, they get tons of free gear, free travel, free passes, and they get to ski every single day of their lives... I don't know about any of you guys, but that's all I need in life, the money would be just a bonus.

the elite make the money. by that i mean simon, tanner, peter, jon, and seth. all are over 100K a year. and the first two are probably around 450K or so.. but i guess this isnt really our business. Just hope that they are smart enough to invest it or spend wisely, because pro skiing has no job security. Ask CR about that.

I would say that only a handful make a decent living off of it. Tanner, Simon, Jon, Candide, Seth, Sarah Burke, Carlson, and a few others. I know Candide, Jon, Simon and Tanner make a ton, and whenever they win contests their sponsors will likely triple it. I'd say right now Simon makes close to the most. Target prolly gave him like $10,000 everytime he did that little flash of his target gloves to the camera at X.

Ya but when pros get hurt they usually have to pay for all their medical bills because most of them don't have health insurance. So tanner was probably payin crazy cash for his injury

you'd be lucky if that rockstar life lasted 10 years . . .and then your 30 with no marketable skills. i wonder how josh loubek is doing.

Most well known pro's make enough money to live fairly comfortable lifestyle. Can't quite say the same for the up and comer's though

A lot of pro skiers are pretty much assured a job within the industry somehow once they aren't ripping anymore. Team Managers, Reps, Etc. Boyd still does lots of skiing stuff. Phil Dion is the Dynastar Intntl. Team Manager, Philou does something for some company, but i forget.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA did your mommy and daddy tell you that? Sorry bro but college degrees really don't guarantee you dick all. Do you actually have any idea what the average salary is for a college grad? 25-35k HAHA you can make more than that being a bartender or a car tech.

If you are a pro that can consistantly be top ten in competitions you are more guaranteed to have a higher salary than a college grad. Certainly job security is not part of the equation but we are talking about "out of college" salary.

Okay...so ten pros make a higher salary than the average college grad? Your argument has holes in it.

That might be what they start at. But 15 years down the line a college grad who goes into sales or law or accounting or actuarial work will make FAR more than a bartender. College does not guaranty money, but it helps a whole lot. The vast majority of people who make good salaries are college graduates. The potential income for a college graduate who starts out making 40k a year is FAR more than any of the professions you have mentioned. A 24 year old bartender will not make much more 20 years from now than he does today. A 24 year old college grad selling software for ADP(a job you CANNOT get without a degree) has the potential to make ten times what he does 20 years in the future.

If you think being a bartender or an auto mechanic is a better career financially then a white collar degree requiring profession you are sadly mistaken.
