Stop.

He has been here since:

Even if you've had another username from 2001 (I'm sure you did) he is whoring less, and quite possible talking more sense.

Regardless, a price-point ski is as previously stated...a ski that aims for a larger audience with its lower price, but attributes similar to its "big brother ski."

The Armada El Ray is a great example of this. Looks up to the Ar6 but is a cap construction ski, and made with fiberglass as well as wood. Keeps the price down but people riding a respectable ski.

You could always shop for stuff a few years old that shops are trying to dump. I got a brand new $900 DJ bike for $400 that way!

Moment Renos are pretty cheap. ($399) Not quite as cheap as some of the others but they are a sick ski. $20 more gets you the jib, which is probably my favorite park ski ever... Buying skis that are a year or two old is usually your cheapest route though.

i would say the new scratch ski, fuji, or invader. im sure the el ray is fine, but not to many people have ridden it yet.

He's right. I've seen the 05-06s and th 06-07s after 1 season and both were trashed. The 06/07s which were supposed to be better quality were my little brothers, and he doesn't do anything that big. he had 2 or 3 core shots, because the base is a sloft, slow material (not sintered). edges started to delaminate on tail of one, and the topsheet was chipped down to the core all around both ends on both skis as well as some places on sides. They are a good performing park ski though and not bad all mountain, they are just shit quality.

yeah he does

from armadaskis.com

"With a perfect flat spin 5 truckdriver, TJ won the superfinals on his new love, the Armada El Rey ski: If it's a normal day in the park and I am not hitting a 100 foot table, these are my new favorite Armada's!" TJ said"

huh, well I stand corrected, kinda weird that he would ski on their price point ski as opposed to the AR6's, or pipe cleaners

thats not exactly complimentary to price point skis. Implications of inferior quality? lol. The more expensive a ski is doesn't necessarily mean it's better than one that costs less.

I have the first generation fujis, and they are falling apart. But this IS after 2 years of hard riding, rails, and whatnot. I am still going to ride them, after I remount them (healpeace ripping out). One of the tails is delamming, and the edge is ripping out (of the tail). Midsole edges are holding up extremeley well, though I have been treating them with 2ply epoxy every few rides, and they are splitting pretty bad. . . but c'mon . . 2 years of hardcore riding for a 150$ ski (proformed).

I think the el-ray could be the perfect west coast price point, all-mountain jib stick. Only time will tell if they hold up to some abuse though.
