30 rack of PBR is 15-20$ where I live, and it's worth it. But it isn't the cheapest beer, depending on where you live there will be other beers that are cheaper. Try Lost Lake Ice it's like 6$ for a 12 pack which is cheaper than pbr.
As for Canadian beers vs US beers I can't say because I haven't drank many canadian brews. But anyone who says that beer from the US sucks has no clue what they're talking about. There are so many great breweries in Colorado alone, even though Coors is here, New Belgium's the most famous but there's so many other great ones. And that's just one state.
