Pretzels and Polish Donuts

Sounds fun. Gotta love no entry fee!

The park was fun today. It was really nice and clear in the afternoon. The second jump was sweet. But then it started rain/snowing and got really slow. The first run this started, it got so slow I cased the crap out of the second jump and T-Halled myself over the knuckle. It sucked, but I didn't break my ankles.

They changed/added stuff since Saturday. Everything is super fun. I don't know if it just happened, or they did something, but the flat bar rails aren't sticky anymore. The 6.0 car is setup at the bottom, flat, so there are window sliding possibilities now. I didn't check it out too much though cuz the snow was too slow for the location. A bunch of new bonk items. They put in the QP, and did that mini sesh thing with the pipe. And just moved some stuff around. Overall I'm pretty happy with it now. It is a little bit box biased, but not too bad.
 
Conditions permitting we plan to have three individual zones set up to sesh. It would be too hard to set up a top to bottom slopestyle. I wanted one, by the logistics and location make it impossible. The first zone will be up top where we will have some rails and jibs, possibly even a bump line to throw a mule kick in for good measure. The second zone will go down below bonanza face where we hope to use the current jump line with some added features. The final zone will be down on the lower section leading up to the yurt with some more jibs and some mini shred action. Each zone will be set up in advance so the we can session it until we are over it and then move down to the next one. There will be an overall winner along with a product toss at the end to all who participated.
 
how about a zone winner too? i can say for certain that i would do much better on the jumps :)

but i like that idea.

I MAY come back early from spring break for this. Depends on the snow back home, but if it's the same in Montana as here, then I'll come back for this, because it's worth it to prove to Krush how far his head is up his ass.
 
itd be sick if there were two down rails in a row. like really really sick.

also, does anyone know if mamafest will have skiers this year? because krush told me there werent but the mamafest person said there was.....anyone feel like shedin some light?
 
i honestly don't know what his deal is, but when it comes to a FUNDRAISING event, I'd find it absolutely ridiculous and counterintuitive if they turned people away, especially such a big snow sport demographic and skiers (although there are like no pipe skiers in washington, and mamafest is supposedly a pipe jam). Not to mention skiers have been allowed like every year they've had it.

As for pretzels and polish donuts, sounds like a grand ol time.
 
Yeah, I don't understand that at all either.

But we really need to take this Ps and PDs as a chance to show them what's up. We need to have the biggest turnout ever. And have so much the snowboarders will be jealous.
 
so after messing around on the slopes this weekend...how do you do a polish doughnut! haha its harder than it looks
 
I actually snowboard, but most of my friends ski, Krush is only focusing on snowboarders because like you said skiiers arn't to notorious for showing up at comps. Today at mamafest there was a decent turnout for skiiers, and if this comp gets a good turnout krush will realize that skiier comps are just as valuable as others.
 
I think I'm gonna go! I'm very unskilled and haven't been able to practice much because of an injury early this season, but whatev it'll be fun right?
 
Obvio ittl be fun, I havent skied park all year and I'm going. So lack of practice is no excuse to anyone else. See you guys there.

Things are coming together... A bunch of Skullcandy is en route. Pow Gloves just dropped off a box of goodies at my desk. Armada stuff is on its way, along with Joystick, Oakley. I'll be swing by K2, Line and Full Tilt next week to grab banners& product. Red Bull is down to help out with on hill hospitality. I am setting up a meeting for Tuesday to get the features finalized. Sounds like we'll have people coming from all over so it should be fun. Check out the Summit site for the finalized press release and dont forget registartion is from 8-9:30 and you need a helmet
