This is a x-post from the WA forum but it would be sick to get some people from Hood and Bend coming up for this.

The Summit at Snoqualmie is proud to announce our newest event…Pretzels & Polish Donuts!!!

A full day of stoke for the current world of freestyle skiing

(Pretzels) with a pinch of the Hot Dog era (Polish Donuts) for

flavor…all going down on March 28 in Central Park.

A unique event to bring like-minded skiers together to push the

limits of the future of our sport while remembering its old freestyle

roots. The day will be broken into three “zones” where you can session

the features as much and as often as you want. One zone will focus on

jibs, one on jumps and one on mini-shred but the main focus is hanging

out with friends and enjoying a sweet day in the park.

This event is dedicated exclusively to two planks (snowllerbladers need not apply) and brought to you by the good folks at K2, evo, Oakley, Line, Full Tilt, Armada, Joystick, POW Gloves, Skullcandy and The Skiers Journal.

Coverage will be brought to you from your fine friends at Newschoolers.com and the TSJ.

Blue skies and high fives await all those who sign up.

Registration from 10-11AM at Main Lodge at Summit Central / FREE

EVENT w/ discounted lift tickets for competitors / helmets required /

under 18 needs a parents signature

Scott and Chris you both NEED to come up here for this. Would be the perfect opportunity to finish the 100 beer mission. Crash at my place...comp at White the next day...if you give me enough whiskey I might be able to ski.

So a cute skier girl wants me to come crash at her place, finish off dozens of beers and pour whiskey shots until she can ski again.....

Uhh Katie....I think I might be able to arrange something :)

Lol...whiskey shots until I can ski again sounds rather dreamy...and potentially dangerous...might need to get me one of those kid ropes. Although when you were down at the lodge Scott and I were discussing some sweet piggy-back freestyling. It could be done...Seriously though...come up...please...it's Seattle beer week too and we could go visit Katie at the Cask festival after. The fantastic four needs to finish our mission. No sleep until....Hood River? Haha.

I'll definitely be there, but is pretzels and polish donuts going to be more laid back then most competitions or the same?

This is taken from the WA thread...

Just to clear the air... This isn't a comp. There won't be a first second and third. There won't be categories. This is an event! Yes... some prizes will be thrown out based on throwing down, others for general spirit. The concept is to have an opportunity to hit creative and unique features. We wanted to generate an event that will grow and grow and grow. We wanted to eliminate any unneeded structure but instead leave it up to the participants to ride at the level they choose, session the features they want as little or as much as they want and ultimately progress at their own pace. THAT"S WHAT FREESTYLE IS!!! It's rewarding to facilitate that and that is exactly what we plan to do.
Hope that answers your question.

i'll be up in Seattle on saturday and would love to go to this.

Unfortunately, i have no ride, so if anyone is heading up there from

Seattle, or going through seattle on their way, and has an extra seat i would really appreciate a lift.

P.S. I'll throw up some money for gas.

For all of you who went, or wanted to go to the event, here is a small edit of what went down. It helps if you let it load all the way. It is HD, so you can fullscreen it and it will look better.
