I'd like to work on spinning off, and switching up on boxes and rails, the opposite way I'm spinning on. I clearly see people dragging edges, or "scissoring" in order to change directions, but I can't seem to make it happen.

How do I (frontside?) switch up on a box?

sorry im not that good at teaching rails but i did run into the rail man himself tonight frank r. he said he can help you. so keep checking back for help from frank

instead of putting your shoulder and arms parallel to the rail , got to keep our shouldrs and arms looking down ant the rail or landing . in other words , you got to break your upper body form the lower body to keep a solid slide but still getting good momemtum for for the switch up.
for any kind of switch ups , spin out its all in the shoulders and arms. they are guiding you to where you want to go

Thanks Frank, much appreciated. I guess an additional question would be whether I should land on the box with my upper body already broken from my lower, or turn my hips just prior to popping and switching up.
