i don't listen to much PL so i can't compare but just wanted to say i might finally be able to see mau5 on NYE. Him in NYC for NYE sounds like it's gotta be good, and from what i've heard his unhooked sets are more about the music which is what i really care about. anyone else going?

Pretty lights just does too many remixes for me to have any true respect. Deadmau5 is original and has a cleaner sound in my eyes.

Pretty Lights is fucking sick, but he is not anywhere close to Deadmau5's level of production. Deadmau5 could very well be the best EDM producer in the world, nobody does the shit he does. And I don't even mean musically, his processes and the way he goes about making his music is absolutely insane. Its completely organic, whereas PL is just recycling other people's chords, vocals, notes etc.

Thats like... Putting T-Heed in the FWT and comparing his run to Candide's. Its just not the same.

That said, I can enjoy listening to PL as much as Deadmau5 at any time of day.

Deadmau5 is good but his shit is still pretty repetitive and hasnt really impressed me at all since i saw him in 08
