Pretty lights or A$AP Rocky?

Pretty lights is lame.

Asap has some really weak shit too, but he's backed by some new amazing producers, Clams Casino is where it's at...

I would rather listen to asap.

I mean, you can't really make a comparison between the two. It's an apples-to-oranges situation

Or if you are more inclined to treat live shows like a party (ex: becoming intoxicated and belligerent with little regard or concern for the quality of the music) then hit up asap.

overall, not impressed with EDM. only thing cool is the light show.

have never been to an a$ap rocky show by i love his music and like above it is produced by some some talented people.

 
whats the hate on a$ap, his producing is on point and in my opinion has the best "swag rap" out right now. plus if its the same tour as the one coming to slc, it means school boy Q is gunna be there, and when they play brand new guy shits gunna pop off like this

Pretty lights is tight, super dope live, but hasn't been really putting out any music recently.. my friend who knows him from high school says he's super addicted to heroin now and thats why he hasn't done any new shit, but idk.

im a big asap fan, no one likes mobbin out to him like me but the show i went to last weekend was actually trash ahahhaa. it was him and all his crew and they were just a bunch of dumb nigs fucked up just jumping around stage. fun show no doubt but pretty lights would fucking kill it
 
Not a huge fan of pretty lights but after going to one of their concerts I can say that his live sets are insane. go there for sure

For those saying Pretty Lights sucks. That's only half true. Seen him too many times live for it to be fun anymore. I'm tired of hearing the same setlist save for 2 or 3 songs he likes to switch up. I can agree that he's not the best to go see live, but you gotta check it out at least once. That being said, the production of his live show is on a whole other level entirely right now.

The dude is a genius at sample mapping. Even if he's not the "best" he's got a personal touch that makes his music his own (which takes talent), and infectious for hoards of EDM fans. You can hate on him all you want, but you know its the truth.

PL > ASAP in the live element. Especially if you've never been to a Pretty Lights show. You'll get the hip-hop, the nearly naked girls, and the lights. Easy decision imo.

PS: I've heard ASAP lip syncs.
 
Just saw ASAP at house of blues boston and it was sick. He played the perfect number of good old songs and also a bunch of sick new stuff of his unreleased album. Also schoolboy q and danny brown featured made it super sick. Hands on the wheel was unreal with both q and asap.

There is a A$AP show coming to my city and i wanna go so bad but none of my friends are into his music :/
 
I have seen both pretty lights and A$ap live so I might have the best opinion on this thread. It really depends on the venue...if bigger go pretty lights....if much smaller go A$AP.....personally I would choose PL over A$AP but asap is an unreal performer as well
 
If you do go to Asap be warned.....you will be the minority at the concert as there are many black ppl who like asap and there will probably be nig fights...PL is basicaly all white ppl but theres guaranteed hot girls
 
ive seen both....ASAP was fun but pretty shitty, PL is always a good time and good vibes...its never a bad show. i'd say PL
 
was gonna go to A$AP just cuz im such a fan and everyone there wilds out..but its on a thursday and itd fuck with school. So pretty lights on a saturday haha
 
I like A$aps music but when I saw him, I hated it.... His crew of 40 did nothing but walk around the stage and scream A$AP A$AP , was pretty annoying after an hour of that.
