should get some good laughs out of it.

might as well throw this into the debacle. i cannot wait until obama-mccain go toe-to-toe on the second amendment during one of the debates.

this past two weeks:

- the NRA has started running radio and television ads proclaiming Obama as anti-gun

- Obama campaign proclaims the statements are false

- Obama campagin issues cease and desist letter stating the ads are false (here)

- NRA issues its own response to said letter (here)

 
TVs weren't commercially available until the late 30s.

As far as polls go, it's more of a demographic reader. Both candidates had a strong presence at the debate, so whoever won it (in your mind) came down to which candidate you agree with on more of the fundamental issues.

Anyone else think Obama and McCain should just get together and agree to pick new VP candidates?

One is dealing with a bit of historical mix up, while the other can't keep the current straight.

admit it, you'd rather see Romney, Lieberman, or Huckabee as the VP, Palin is a gaffe from start to finish.

did you watch that on CNN, man that was so crazy, that place seriously looks like it's at the end of the world, it's so detached from everything, just all these little shacks sitting on this rock. They asked this guy did you know the governor of alaska was nominated for VP, he's like uhhhhh what are you talking about.

I dont think anyone does. I'd love to have a national holiday where everyone just breaks from society and attachments and does nothing for a day. What would you think about if you had 24 hours of no cell phones, no books, no computers, no TV and no interactions with anything?

Most people would be bored, yes, but for a few, it would give them much needed 'soul searching'. Not that we have souls, but its the best alliteration I can come up with.

is there really any point in defending Biden for you, i mean you're not going to like him either way....

i'm not going to spend time defending his goof on history, but for a guy who's the chairman of the foreign relations committee, who's done a shit load of a lot in the Senate i'm going to go out on a limb and say he's got some pretty legit qualifications for his job.

as for the on the job training, cmon justin you know better. any candidate can say anything during the primary, but during the actual election they can totally change.

look at the clinton family.

haha i know i said that but you know what in that situation where people were making a HUGE deal out of the non-issue I would have done it too so that they would just shut up about it. I didnt think it was gonna be as big of a deal as it was.

I'd rather see Romney as President, the republicans fucked themselves by not making him the candidate. He would absolutely murder Obama on all the issues, especially on the economy he'd make Obama look borderline retarded. Romney just looks like a president. A Romney - Palin ticket would have been an almost guaranteed win. You got Romney who knows whats up, and Palin to get him those conservative Christian votes he wouldn't have gotten otherwise. And since Romney is in good health and not elderly, no one could argue that Palin would be "one heartbeat from the presidency." Do I think she's qualified to be VP? Sure, but not President.

Lieberman? Hell no.

Huckabee? No.
 
Lieberman is the man i think McCain wanted...before they made him take Palin

And as for how good Romney would have been, how well would a East Coast Mormon be recieved by the rest of the country... I don't think it'd be too great. It's tough to say that a VP is a reliable way to win the presidency.

Also, this "heartbeat away from the presidency" shit has got to stop. An MIT actuary found out McCain has a 94% chance of living through four years and Obama has a 97% chance of living through four years. Give it a rest, it's really not all that likely.
