just because you experience a lot of stress doesn't mean you can handle it better. It just means that you have 5 years more stress, which could take off I dunno 10 years of your life? Stress is bad in all forms, it hurts your body. Look at a picture of any president before there term(s) tell me how McCain will look in a coffin afterwords...

id say the stupidity is about equal, cause really, half the people who hate bush hate him because other people do, if you asked half the people in this country why they hate bush, they would probably come up with some stupid answer or not know what to say. i know some smart as fuck bush supporters, who actually have good reasons to like him. while when i listen to people talking about why they hate bush, all they can come up with is " he messed up the country, he cant talk well, blah blah blah" mostly shit they heard on youtube.
and i have to give bush a break cause if you think about it, before he was ellected, the internet wasnt used by many like it is today. 8 years ago, i didnt know many people that would get online and check news sites and video's. now literally every citizen is on the internet once a day and they check all these news sites, and most of all youtube. really every little mistake he makes, is seen by millions of people right after it happens. before that, really, if you didnt see it on the right news channel at the right time, you didnt see it at all. there werent thousands of anti clinton video's on the internet. but now because of technology, we get to see every mistake he ever made.
im sure if we had the same technology for every president, we would hate every single one of them alot more.
i think now, whoever is president, we are gonna hate the shit out of them. a couple mistakes and they are fucked. its kinda sad.

Kennedy was pretty recent. Bhuto got assassinated over in Pakistan. If you really wanted to kill a world leader, you could. Dunno about getting away with it and not being found and charged though.
 
there is always a risk of assassination no matter who it is that is sitting in a high chair...yes alot of people hate bush...i am not racist at all if i was racist i could not live where i lived i'd get my ass kicked...but the fact that racism is still very much alive and very big in America puts Obama at a little bit of a risk, probably nothing huge because the security is so tight now days and way better...and it probably wouldn't be a young person that did it...i'm guessing it would be someone from back in the day...like my grandpas age (83 years old) and he is as racist of a person i have ever seen i get so embarrassed when i bring my girlfriend to christmas or thanksgiving and he goes off on a racist rant...blaming our economic problems on the "sammys" or the "blacks" ha well theres my two cents.
 
that is so untrue. the longest kill ever by a sniper was 2430 meters by corporal furlong of canada. Most rifles these days are lucky to have an effective range of 1000m much less 1800! Moreover, the amount of training and adjustment for: windage, elevation, rotation of the earth, curvature of the earth, atmospheric density, the bullets rotational inertia must be computed to at least 3 or 4 decimal places. And thats if you have military equipment such as an m82a1 and that lil software for a PDA. Civilians simply cant get the same shit, they might be able to get a remmington m700 which would be the best available civilian rifle and it only has a range of 800 meters.

So within half a mile im pretty sure as extensive as secret service is, theyd be able to find some fuck in a window somewhere sitting with his remington 700 civilian with a nstar scope. These are formerly trained special forces who can find ghille suited prone military snipers lying in a massive field of vegetation. Spotting some dude holding a gun in a window wouldnt be very difficult.
 
dude, i think you misunderstood what guy was saying. he never said somebody could shoot well enough to hit a target at a mile and half, he said bullets were still effective at a mile and half. sorry to tell you, but you just wasted your time.
 
if an organization is good enough to get a sniper in a legitimate position to kill the president, don't you think they are good enough to get equipment higher than the "best avaialble civilian rifle?"

while it may be very difficult for you and me to get our hands on military special ops grade sniper gear, i am sure someone with enough resources to plan a legitimate attack would be able to get their hands on them, if not from our military, then from any one of dozens around the globe.

your points are very valid, if you assume the assassin is some regular dude with a racist vendetta, but the possiblity is still out there if you consider all the paramilitary units and private special forces in play worldwide. im not saying john rambo is going to kill barak obama, but it isnt that far fetched to believe that there are organizations good enough, with the right intel and equipment, to take out any world leader or prominent citizen.

the secret service is good. great, actually, but it is do-able, just by a serious organization, not by a few meth heads with rifles, as i said earler.
 
Maybe I just like to think that the secret service and all that security would be enough, I dunno. Cause come to think about it maybe it wouldn't be impossibly hard, getting away with it sure would though.
 
ya then again you can purchase .50 cal sniper rifles now days with an effective range of over a mile.

My dads brother is in the national guard, and there actually training for race riots if something like this happened. Scary shit, but very possible. Damn
 
If Obama is assassinated the black community along with a hell of a lot of people will go nuts. Riots everywhere, a complete Collapse. thank about it, The LA riots were started because cops sucked back then but they also beat Rodney king. Cops havent gotten much nicer and well he possibly (hopefully) will be the first african american president , which is great! but imagine what would happen if something happend to him . I hope the secret service is sharp . Also the govt. is corrupt and dont think it isnt for one second.

point was, guy's with box cutters,BOX CUTTERS got into the cockpit, and flew airplanes into buildings, i dont see that happening exactly like that all over again....
 
I fly on planes between 4 and 6 times a year.

And I agree with you that it would be highly unlikely that it would happen again the same way as it happened on 9/11, but the point of my original statement was that people should never say never (in this case, dealing with a possible presidential assassination).
